I've been lurking on here a while, as I recently put an order in through the lease company for an Audi A3 Sportback BE 140 tdi (company car) with DSG, Technology Pack, Storage Pack, Open Sky Roof, Comfort Pack, Luggage Pack and Interior Light pack. Oh and it's Monza Silver.
Order was placed 5th November, original delivery date was 23rd May 11, now moved to 16th June 11 :-(
Pretty interesting to see so many peeps on here with issues regarding dates, I am not actually fussed right now, but I will worry if this date starts going backwards any further.
Used to own an S3 a few years back but had to sell when I changed jobs and needed a Diesel as I currently rack up 3k miles a month!!
Hope everyone gets their cars quickly, me included!!

Bad news...HR will not allow an order to be placed in early for my replacement company car so I have to wait until June to order, or complete another 10,000 miles very quickly. Any one need a delivery taking to India

What are the bulbs like in the front spots ? As the headlights are HID do they look yellow ? Is it worth getting some Osram Night Breaker bulbs for them ?

Currently in the process of taking out a personal lease for a Audi A3 170 BE Sportback, Comfort Pack, Metallic Paint and the leasing company cant seem to get under £389 with a deposit of £3600, for a 36 month term agreement, 13,000 miles annually. That includes servicing, maintenance and tax.
Can you anyone tell me if they got lower? and if so, where from (PM if you can?).
One really frustrated BE admirer (been going on since June 2010!)

You might be able to find a little lower, but not much. That's a very fair price.
hi,i got an audi a3 140 ibis white be sportback, comfort pack,15,000 miles, full insurance for 5 named drivers, tax, servicing,maintenanace, no deposit, 36 month contract, £330 a month...was quoted 341 for 170bhp.. fleet soloutions company
source the car myself and have a build date for march, so 3 month wait from order...hope this helps

Can anyone confirm which colours the Black Edition is available in? I ordered one originally back in December, requesting it in Tugsten Grey. My lease company came back and said it was only available in Brilliant Red, Ibis White, Brilliant Black, Phantom Black and Ice Silver. I went ahead and changed my order to Brilliant Red.
However, I am now in the process of adding one or two extras and thought I would check on the colour sitution with the experts! If possible I think I would go for Volcano Red.

That is the only colours available unless you want to spend £1500 and have any colour you like?
According to the configurator you can have Volcanic Red for 510 pound premium:

I'm getting Meteor Grey, had deep sea blue on order at first but (thankfully) changed mind.. pretty sure you can have any of the colours that the A3/S3 can have (ie sprint/solar only on S3 and can't have scuba, lava, sphere, volcano, tungsten & dakota on an S3)

For some reason there are more colours on offer than when I bought/ordered mine. I know you can't have the S3 colours though (SOlar Orange, Imola Yellow, Sprint Blue etc.)
Finally made the plunge and ordered my 2.0TDI 170PS Black Edition Sportback with comfort pack - cant stop smiling! I'm not sure when it arrives but i dont care after haggling for so long!
Finally collected mine last night....love it 
only managed a short run last night but up early this morning as I'm taking a rather long route to work today !!

Depends on whether its through lease company (company car) or private deal. Usually around 3 - 4 wks after build date or maybe a week later if company car.
It is through a lease company.. theyve told me 10-14 days, but um wonderin whether it will be sooner...

Looks lovely don't see many new 2.0Ts these days there all diesels
If you visit imageshack.us, upload the pics there - remember to adjust the size to 640 x 480! Then when you have uploaded them all, select each picture one at a time, and there will be a forum url, just copy that and drop it in the message - should work!

First time we had Sprint Cloth and Leather. Seems OK so far. Mrs is happy and as it's her car who am I to argue. We had Leather and Alcantara in our 2005 8P and hated it. The full Vienna Leather in the 2008 8P was reported as being 'too cold and you know I don't like heated seats'... so trying the Standard 2011 offering for now.

Just out of curiosity what did you hate about the alcantara? I had the White alcantara in a dolphin grey 2002 s3 and loved it to bits!! It did wear a bit badly by about 60k but it looked and felt awesome.. I hear the new perforated stuff is meant to wear a lot better, but only time will tell? For me personally full leather grips you less, is sweaty in summer and cold in the winter! And sprint cloth just didn't look or feel special enough...... Also wondered why you thought the bridgestone potenza was a "crappy" tyre? I've never had them before, but they have a good reputation, so I just wondered if you'd had a bad experience with them?
