Anyone else play Airsoft?

As the title says anyone else play airsoft? If so where do you play and what do you use?

I've been hooked for about a year and half and between the guns and the car I never have any money left lol! How do you manage???

Currently I'm loving my ICS M4, Its got a Madbull tightbore, TM hop rubber and running on an 11.1 Lipo

I can usually be found knee deep in nettles at a site called finmere.

I have just sold a Remington VTR that looked like that, wasn't airsoft though.
And between my cars and guns I don't have much money spare either, well, didn't. I got a better paid job. And now buy more expensive guns instead

Tuftylad plays airsoft, got quite a nice collection of assorted weaponary too.

Yeah, Ive got about 6 different assualt rifles, 3 gas blow back pistols and another piece of crud sniper - its an adiction lol. The picture above is the only one I have on photobucket.

You need to try something with a serious amount of power then. I have a .454 Casull which has so much concussive force it has occasionally made my nose bleed

Top two are 6" SV Infinities, then a 5" SV Infinity (I like my 45's :thumbsup and the last but not least is a M1911A... I also have a Desert Eagle .50 and a Sig P226..

In the past I have had a Glock 18C, H&K USP Compact, H&K Mk23 and a Beretta 92F...

My neighbours into all this. He has an absolute crap load of guns n equipment, I'll try n sneak a picture of them all. The strangest one he's got is a P90.
He showed me these tracer bb's the other day which I thought was pretty cool.

I drive past airsoft armoury in amersham every day to work. I bought a mauri ak47 with the foldable stock from there. Back before labour put a twaty law into place which prohibits you from buying unless you are a member of a club. Now the criminals just go out and buy real guns, or join up to airsoft sites lol

@DrFeelgood. If you are not a member of an airsoft club you can buy an airsoft gun which is made in bright colours, so the criminals won't buy them to commit crime. The government think criminals are too stupid to paint them a different colour.

Brilliant... well, I say brilliant... its not an AEG in terms of accuracy and usablilty in a skirmish but its soooooooooooooooooo much fun its not true..

Thought about getting into this a few years ago but couldn't bring myself to do it.. So a quick self head lock and a few slaps it was out of my system. you boys and your toy guns.... @Damo, have you seen the price of an AI? My friend bought one, cost around £3200.00, then had to fork out around £2800 for a Schmitt scope for it to get the best out of it.

He can still only group around 2 1/2" at 300yrds. For that money I would expect the gun to load and shoot itself, shoot a 1" group at 400yrds then get the kettle on.

When the mags aren't leaking its awesome... inaccurate with little range but big grin factor...

What X scope is he using to get that kinda grouping??? or is yr mate Stevie Wonder lol... i reckon 300yd = 274m give or take a few cm... I used to operate with a X10 Schmidt & Bender on an L96A1, the norm was to be able to put a 10 round mag into a fag packet at a 1K. If his scope is up to the distance maybe he just needs to address his marksmanship principles or adjust his rifle setup.

Anyway, you guys have got me interested in this..
So what kinda power/ range do you get ??
What are the game rules ??
Do Teams compete and a what level ??

I drove past some sort of airsoft gathering just off the A666 near Bolton last week, just came across some random's in the middle of nowhere in full combats carrying longs, i thought well this is it... the end it was like a PIRA invasion.. They had a big sign up stating they were the one and only club in Lancashire.. Not to sure of their name. Have you guys heard of them ??

Nah, not a big fan of AI stuff, it looks too futuristic and plastic. I am old school when it comes to firearms. Though I don't like AK's or AR's either.

Yeah, was a shiny one from my original sun projects M203 that I changed to a matt one a while back... need to have a chat some time about LiPo's as I think this would benefit from one...
Would help with sorting the barrel in this case as that is as far as I got as I didn't have anything that would allow a mini battery or similar under the grip...

Lipos are the way forward. I dont treat Lipos differently to normal Nimh batteries I dont have a cut off switch or an alarm and they haven't burst into flames yet. I needed to buy a new charger that balanced the voltage between the cells but thats it. I use 11.1V 1100Mah in the buffer tube at the moment at one will last 2/3 of a days playing with my over zealous trigger finger, so im sure one like that will fit in the foregrip looks like even that will be tight though.

The bottom M4 uses an 11.1 lipo in the tiny PEQ2 box
