Audi Recall ( all petrol engines)

Hi Guys
Might be old news but my mate who works for Audi has just told me that Audi are recalling every Audi with a petrol engine because they have now excepted that there coil packs are crap and are giving everyone 4 new ones .

i got mine done in november on an old a3
wont touch my a4 cos there all revised parts

Well they have asked for mine back to do all 4 and i've had 2 new one from them already

Yes just phone them up and ask, my mate booked mine in for tuesday and he only told me this weekend.
Its a huge recall for all petrol engines that have coil packs fitted accross the world.
Would'nt want to pick the bill up for this one.

I got charged some obscene amount for my stereo code when I had my A4, not realising they're supposed to give you that for free!
I wouldn't go back for anything that's not 100% free, their free MOTs couldn't tempt me.

What utter, utter, utter crap. If it actualy was a recall then audi dealers would send out a recall letter to ALL audi owners and secondly it would be in the media.

This only came out last week and they are putting improved ones in.
I heard something good from a mate and thought you guy would like to know, i'll tell you what, next time i hear something good that would help you guy i keep it to myself,
This is not a moan cause it makes no differents to me if you know or not, mines getting done on tuesday for free so its up to you lots to do what you want.
Hope some of you give it a go. And if you don't cause it "CAN'T BE TURE CAUSE I WOULD OF HEARD OF IT CAUSE I'M THE AUDI GOD", you guys can keep buying cheap ones.

Not a recall as such as you won't get a letter asking you to report to the dealer to have them checked, its whats known as a campaign where any petrol car visiting a dealer for other reasons will have there coils checked & if there found to still have the old guilty of failure parts then they shall be replaced FOC, This is a newly issued campaign from aprox 11/2010. So the man speaks the truth you bunch of ungreatfull twats, sit there behind your keyboard spouting ***** like " proof or stfu " if you like but I'll be visiting my dealer to have them checked/replaced FOC if needs be.
