K04 downpipe & sports/decat group buy - gauging interest.

Has been brought on from another thread about these items.

Looking to gauge interest on a group buy of the revised XS Power downpipes for the K04. They can either come with a decat or a 120 cell sports cat. I would like to let XS Power know how many people would be interested.

I have added a poll, please indicate which you would be interested in.

Prices are unknown at the moment, and this is dependant on the revisions to fitment being completed correctly.

Ill give it a while to see what reliability is like. Also some slight changes need to be made to it.

Yes I have read it mate. I would prefer to have one that fits nice with no issues and sell the one on that I have but it's all dependent on how many go for the group buy and what price they actually agree on.....

Thats what Welly is trying to achieve by working with XS Power to get it right... I have seen the ones they have been sending him and its nearly there... the flange and fitment issues seem to be sorted, they just need to sort the lambda position out... I believe this is in hand as Welly wouldn't have started this thread if he didn't think they were not going to be any good...

From what I have seen they look pretty good having also fitted an Pipeworx one too...

Obviously the choice is yours but so far the one on Welly's car has survived a few manifold changes and no doubt he will be the first to post if it does give up the ghost...

DP's don't get as hot as manifolds or turbo hotsides so stands a chance especially if you wrap them...

Why would it be more hassle to fit a Decat over a sports cat then as a few people seem to have mentioned this...

All depending on final price i'm very interested as i've got my cash ready and was gonna' go for a Pipewerx, i'll hold out for the price of these i think!

Just the hassle of having to re-fit the original cat come MOT time.
Hopefully the 120 cell sport cat will avoid this and pass an MOT. That being the case, i'll have a DP and sport cat please!

mine failed first but might have been knackered as my turbo started smoking so I just replaced it with a 200 cell one from dear tweaks, so i dont don't know if the 100 cell cat would pass or not

Just to let you guys know, these sport cat will 9/10 NOT pass a MOT. Nearly every thread I have read about these on forums they have not passed a MOT with the XS sports cat. Im running one of these downpipes and cats and took the inside out as its useless.

Hopefully the revised downpipes fit a lot better than the one I got, this threads not for discussing the downpipes but will say I have seen 3 in front of me and they have all been different lol. I run one of these and would not recommend one.

Guys, when you get your DP and CATS fitted can some of you get a emissions test done on your cars, most places will do it for free. Interested to see what the results are.
