I've been looking for an A3 TDI 170 (Quattro or DSG preferred but not essential) for a while now and I also have a list of mods that I'd like to do to it within the first year.

My budget is no more than £13.5k.

Up until now, I have been struggling to find the perfect car within my budget ( I am very fussy).

And then along come this car listed below which has all the mods I wanted to do in the first year as well as a 210bhp remap. My only concern, is has this been thrashed, is 210bhp remap on a 170 safe? Will I get issues running on 19" wheels etc

Or am I best off sticking to what I was doing and looking for a sound standard motor that I know has not been molested so at least then I know that any mods have been taken out correctly by myself.

If anyone could scan the ad over for me and give any advice I would be much appreciated.

what ever car you go for how are you gonna know if its been abused
even in oem form they can be thrashed and you will never know
the add looks ok
if you like it go have a look or even get a AA RAC check

doesn't seem like it has many extras, so how fussy could you possibly be if that car ticks all the boxes?

you'll know if a car has been ragged the same way you'll know if any other car has been ragged

best of luck

Apart from the 2 tone leather and Bose, that looks standard S line spec?

no nav, no cruise, no multi function wheel, no Xenons, no sunroof, cant be that fussy then?

Your right though, quattros are pretty rare fully specced up. If you want a FWD DSG then that would open up your options

I meant extras as in all the mods that's already been carried out on the car.

As for me being fussy. I purely mean things like must have full leather, 170, s-line, concert or better double din (ready for satnav), 3dr, NO gsm phone cradle, no more than 60k, must be black, red or white :) Quattro or DSG a preference.

They are not particularly rare or strange requests on their own, but together it's much harder than you think. I've been scanning pretty much every car listings site I know everyday as well subscribe to new additions and not one has come up that ticks all the boxes.

I'll find one in the end :)

Yeah forgot he said he was 'fussy'. Cruise can be added relatively cheaply but I wouldnt want to do the mfsw and then the nav.

Lady luck shines on you then :) 19" on s-line suspension round here = shattered spine :)

AND...why is one lady owner always seen as a selling point ?? :sadlike:

If it's been a lady owner then you know the clutch won't be any good as they always ride the clutch haha, know few ladies that do this anyways, it will of been hardly ever washed properly like an enthusiast woulda ect ect so don't get why they try selling saying it's had a lady owner.
