Doing all the small bits and pieces on the car at the moment while saving for bigger bits, one of the things that bugs me is the standard bulbs seem very yellow and aren't really that bright.

So after doing some research seems to be between osram nightbreakers & Philips Extreme so wondering which ones people would go for and which is the correct model as seems to be so many (must be road legal) also would change other bulbs to match if needed.

And while I have a topic open, also wipers need changing so was gunna go for some bosch wipers but wondering if anyone else has any other recommendations as the cheapy ones I got last time didn't even seem to fit properly (too long)

Thanks
Shane

RE Bulbs: neither! I has the Philips X-Treme Power in my car already and then I won a pair of Ostam Nightbreaker + from Powerbulbs on twitter and got them the other day. I swapped them over and there was no difference.

However I already had a pair of Ring XenonMax on the main beam, they're both brighter and whiter than the Osram or Philips bulbs.. And cheaper too!

RE Wipers: I don't know, not found them yet! I have Velo blades on just now that are fitted to the car, but for £35 they don't last long, I put a set onthe car when I got it about 7-8month ago and already they need changed!

I got a set of Osram Nightbreakers in both dipped and main beam.
I think they are cracking. So much better than standard.
Can't compaire them to other makes as I have not tried them and got no need to.
Happy with my Osrams.

Does a search there has been a couple of posts about this recently.

Can't help with the wipers. I'm after some new ones as well. Going to look in to aero wipers.

RE: osram nightbreakers, I bought a set of these but took them out as I was blinding every car on the road as they were really high. Anyone know how to sort this out? Would you say the lights aren't put I'n the correct way?

Its the aim on your headlights that off, not the bulbs.
The bulbs proberly made it more obvious.

Thanks Axios. I try adjusting the height but it only lowered slightly.
How would I go about sorting the actual headlight aim out?

Do a posting asking this question in the forum thats to do with your car and I'll and others will answer it for you.
Saves hijacking Shanes thread. :)

the osram bulbs are pretty good. I've got them on a works van.

For wipers go to Wiperblades.co.uk

THey are really cheap. I bought their own brand ones for my car just to see what they were like and they have lasted really well. They have even lasted throughout the terrible winter we have had up here.

Got the phllips Xtreme power ones myself, can't compare them to the nightbreakers as not tried them, but very pleased with the Phillips a big improvement in vision over standard.

Only had them in three weeks so can't say how long they last yet

Stupid moment here, how many bulbs would I need for each side?

I have aero wipers at the moment, massive improvement execept the ones I got were not a great fit (passenger side seems too long tbh)

Thanks

I'm not sure on the number of bulbs for your car, I had 4.
Check your manual that should tell you, you might find the answer on here as well.

autobulbsdirect.co.uk do wipers, might be worth checking them out for prices and what bulbs you need.

When you found the number and fittment for your bulbs go to amazon and search for them on there.
They are so much cheaper.
I bought mind from AP motor for £14ish.

Nightbreakers have the edge for me. The light was slightly less-white that x-treme power, but visibility was slightly better. Both are way better than standard.

Must get a set of these myself, wouldn't mind seeing some pictures to compare?

Here is the Osram Nightbreakers
Dipped

According to that autobulbs site I'll need 4 bulbs (2 main, 2 dipped) also it has the option to have LED/white bulbs for sidelights, anyone changed there sidelights too? Axios is that Nightbreakers or night breakers plus?

Thanks
Shane

Nightbreakers Plus.

Thanks searched amazon and as you said much cheaper, I've worked it out as I need 2 pairs of Nightbreaker plus H7 (Dipped & Fogs) 1 pair of NBP H1 (Main) and 1 pair of 501 Xenon extreme white bulbs (Side lights, they are blue coloured bulbs but apparently light up bright white to match the mains) Does that sound right? I looked at the L.E.D. bulbs for indicators and the back but I think that would be overkill

Thanks
Shane
