Hi all,

I got a lovely bonus at work so will pay off a few bits here and there and im left with about £800-1000. I was going to get a k03s but then i thought whats the point im happy with the power ive got at the moment and i can always get that later (got a pay rise too :jump:).

So anyway

Ideally id like some BBS LM Reps.

Im after some decent sites for these or similar wheels.

But i remember also there were a few proper brands that do replica styles of wheels with their own branding and are of a better quality. Anyone know these brands?

or maybe do u think i should stop being a donkey and keep my current wheels and then get some decent rubber? and spend the money elsewhere.

basically its just burning a hole in my pocket and i dunno what to do with it but have always wanted some nice new wheels with nice decent tyres.

you can get bbs ch or lm reps for £470 from mersey speed and a set of 452 falkens from cam skill for £65 a corner

ahh yeh mersey speed is the one i was after. falkens really that cheap?
 
or you could find a set of rs4 reps of ebay with tyres cheap if you want to save some money because the bbs wheels and tyres will eat the £800
 
yeh have a look at cam skill i bought 2 of them and the other two of mersey speed or alternativley see what mersey speed will charge for the package
 
yeh just had a look the 18's are only £399, tyres £260 from camskill. then fitting balancing etc is £15 a wheel. £719 in total.

I have Audi R8 reps currently but theres a few kurbings on them. I guess i could sell these wheels after to recoup some of the money. Also got my old pug 306 gti wheels in the garden along with the standard a3 sport wheels. rs4 wheels are too similar to what i have to bother changing whereas the LM's look a bit special!
 
Ultralite Nurburgring 17x8 black or silver for £540 inc vat a set? Or do they have to be 18s? Not far off LM`s but a little bit different and look better in my opinion.

these are my bbs ch on my car at the mo with the falken tyres they are 9j wide as the 8j had no dish on them at all
 
i need 18's ideally as i car share with the car already being low id be scraping everything. wheels look nice tho. any other brands like that?

ch's do look nice paul but ive seen a fair few people with them in my area.
 
rolling radius between a 225/45/17 and a 225/40/18 is very minimal Dave.....

17's also give a much more comfy ride.

That said, 18's look far better, so 18's for me every time!

I barely scrape around MK/Bedford with 225/50/17s (came with wheels) and im pretty low on coilies even with 4 people.

EDIT: Looking on willtheyfit the difference between 225/45/17 and 225/40/18 is 1.4mm so you`ll never tell the difference lol

Think of the money you`ll save :p

You best start coming to to BuckVag meets again now they`ve started up and getting quite a few new people in so show off whatever fancy wheels you get lol.
 
thanks Dane i need to take a new picture for my sig car looks the same but has better lights.

im also getting my suspension leveled a bit nicer so will look great with some LM's. hmm screw it i think ill do it.

just gotta wait for my bonus to clear dont wanna spend it before i get it lol

i had these on my old 200sx...very very naughty looking wheel

i have the ch reps on my s3 and i think they look great, they arent the greatest quality however i got them cheap so cant complain too much - i'll just get them refurbed when they need it

if you want to see what my black s3 looks like with the ch's on check out the a3/s3 pics thread - mines on page 47 :)

another tyre to try is the kuhmo ku31, thats what i have on the s3 and im more then happy with them. I ran the falkens on my 200sx which was running 350bhp and had no complaints with them either but i have heard better reviews on the kuhmo :)

jason i will do mate been meaning to go for ages! know steve and his brothers from college days and have mentioned a few times im gonna come down at some point!

thanks for the new links lads ill have a look see. i do like CH's but dont wanna get those although i may change my mind lol ive always fancied something with a dish :drool:
 
just a quick bare in mind you mentioned at the start of the thread you already kerbed your wheels you have.

if you get lm's dont get me wrong they are nice wheels but if you kerb them i can guarantee you will hate them afterwards because the kerb mark will show due to the polished lip they have.

this was my reason why i went for the ch's they can be touched up easier in case u kerb them.
 
i havent curbed them at all mate. i bought them 2nd hand. i hope to get a tyre with some protection also just incase

not a fan of those lambo wheels although they would look very different!

anni wheels belong on the golf they just look perfect. im now looking at some of the dotz wheels.

a bit like LMs but should be stronger than the reps.

i might go down the 17's route if they arent that much smaller as peeps have mentioned above. prices drop drastically aswell!
 
Theres loads of LM stylee alloys on rimstyle, I did start to look but had barely got into the 'b's by page 10 lol
 
Im not too sure dude, I was flicking through it one day and theres was quite a few in a similar style. I just tryed now but the websites throwing a hissy fit.
 
inovite, dotz and cades do similar wheels. calibre do the rs lookalikes
 
Beware when buying bbs lm rep wheels they do corrode under the laquer on the poilished rims very quickly.
I bought my s3 in december with the wheels on it and they were 3 weeks old.I clean them and wax quite often but there is already some really bad milky type corrosion under the laquer.There only about 3 months old and look ready for a refurb already!:banghead:

They do look the nuts however but personallly I would stay clear.(google LM reps corrosion its a very common problem)
 
yeh i went with some cades tyrus in the end. look like lms but arent lm reps as such. so should be fine.

i found that all lm reps are from china so might be why
