Anyone have anything special planned this year for the better half?

I'm off to Kendal in the Lakes for a Valentines Weekend at the Castle Green Hotel... been saving up my Clubcard vouchers hard for this one!....

Should earn me a few brownie points ;)
 
The more I think about it the more I think its a load of rubbish and so based around the man having to do all of it. I'm all for going out for a nice meal, buying flowers and having a good time but sometimes I think its ridiculous with buying presents which are poo etc.

I mean what is it? really? a load of rubbish to make money is the only thing i can come up with.

Ha, i did a clever one this time round....It was my missus' bday in August, so I got her a spa day all in one thing, you know the whole day of pampering etc....she was overjoyed with it, as has not done anything like this since the little one was born, so I got that and then booked it for Valentines Day, so she can treat herself all day long!!

Otherwise, its just a big money making scam nowadays...i mean the price of flowers on this one day are ridiculous!!!

I also recently stopped buying flowers and starting getting balloons delivered instead, they are alot cheaper, and last alot longer...balloon monkey ftw!!
 
Ordered various different bits off the internet so they arrive on various different days addressed to her. BOOM! instant nookie!
 
Commercialised rubbish, and we both agree. We make a point of not buying anything or going out. I'll cook her a nice meal this year as she usually cooks for me.

If we want to buy each other gifts, go out for a meal etc then we'll do it as and when we feel (and we do!), not on some made up day to keep the card shops in business
 
We've done nothing every year and i hope it stays that way.
Its just another money spinning load of old crap.
The most we do really is to make sure we both got the same day off and thats it but this year shes in bristol working.

Valentines is going to be perfect this year. The missus will be here in London while I'm in Singapore. :happy:
 
I'm hoping my wife will forgive for not buying a V card as i'm doing 6 x 13 hour shift's this week so i'm hoping she will let me sleep on Sunday.

But failing that i will take here out Sat night for a spot of dinner to our favorite hotel. Miskin Manor - Hotel
 
Well I also agree its too comercialised, Hubbies got the cards out of the attic from last year lol But what I have in mind for the evening is totally free....... :whip:

valentines is a ******** day which i hate, its just another day where you think you have to spend money to show your love to our other halves, well **** that, ill buy a card(cuz she wants one) but thats it. im taking her to the pictures and paying for it but she will be gettin me booze lol some people will say my romance is dead where the simple fact is.................... i never had any, be honest now, how many guys actually get the flower petals ready on the bed and have the bath ready with little scented candles in the dark with soothing music and a nice home ****** meal in the oven and then a oil massage later on in the night for their girlfriends/wives?????? the only time i would do that is if i had rhianna as my mrs as she is ****** amazing.

F*&%K valentines day and the big brands/companies that get super rich off the ***** day.

im off to get my mrs food out the oven and warm up my hands..... PEACE!!!
 
Have you actually seen Rihanna without her makeup, **** me son, she's awful, you'd need a drip of pure alcohol to see that in the morning as nice, rufffffff
 
Mate thats tame, god what I saw wasnt fit for human eyes, bit like old Katy Perry without her polyfilla on her face, god that was sickening.

I will do what I have done for the last 5 years!

Dig out the old Valentines card I bought 6 years ago and say to her:

"Here you go hun, Valentines day is a rip off, but I still love you!"
