I think Terry is a great defender and kind of sexy
best of all he plays for Chelsea

Still feel sorry for him when he got captaincy took off him from the England team....

Gerrard > Terry
Both as a footballer and as England Captain.

Terry is a class act and a really nice guy. Met him several times around Cobham where the training ground is

All the old Chelsea lot i've met when i was younger as well - Di Matteo, Wise, Viali, Zola

I still don't understand why Terry was stripped of captaincy! I think it was a ridiculous decision based on the lives of the majority of footballers.

Oh, and for me...it's all about Tony Yeboah!

This! It seems if you have this name, you are naturally good, no questions asked. :footy:

Ironic that the English equivelant Ronald doesn't seem to produce anything like a good footballer :( That 'o' makes all the difference.

Best player from my generation: Giggs (By a country mile)

Current: Messi (Nobody is even close)

1st - TH14 - they'll never be another player as good as him in the EPL.
2nd - Bergkamp - class personified.
3rd - Zola - A class player and a class little guy.

End of thread me thinks...!

Ronaldo may well have made it in the top 3 had he stayed another 2 years.

On the world stage right now though - Messi - OMFG! it's cheating having that little man in your side!
Not looking forward to the Barca game... Still, no shame in going out to them!

Never has been, never will be.

Slow as fooook, but skillful as foooook.

Almost, and I repeat ALMOST, made chelsea likeable.

Can you imagine if Ronaldo went to Barca and played along side Messi. Might as well cancel La Liga and the Champions League and hand barca the title every year until they both turned 30.

Paul Scholes & Ryan Giggs currently
Van Basten, Gullit, Rijkaard, Rivaldo, Romario, Klinsmann, Baggio & Batistuta in the past!

As long as they kept Xavi & Iniesta fit they would!

I'm not looking forward to Barca.... Still, this time we shouldn't be missing over half of our side!

I'd have to say my all tine favourite outside Arsenal would be Maldini - what a man and player.

I am I the only guy who never got Cantona? For me he was an enigma. More about his personally than his ability.

To be honest I can't see Barca embarrassing (the way they played, not the number of goals) the gunners this time around.
Arsenal have stepped up this season (excluding the last 20 mins of the Newcastle game )

Yep, you probably are. Some of Cantona's play/touch/etc was pretty unbelievable.
I would say it was a mix of the two.... personality and ability.

for me as a chelsea fan its the little italian giant Zola, i was there at his debut when i was younger and the thinhs he was doing whilst warming up was amazin.

best footballer thats been here is a mix between Giggs(class player) or thiery henry. but really there are so many that have been pure class over the years.

present day i would say Messi

The greatest to watch:

Maradona
Zidane
Figo
John Barnes
Ronaldinho
Robinho (first spell at Santos)

...and Titus Bramble (but not for the same reasons as the others).

def yes to Zola what a legend

Lampard and Giggs is also a favourate with me

Must admit i have never been a fan of Beckham or Rooney not sayin there not good players cause they are but not exciting enough for me.

Some past legends are Del Piero and was a great fan of Gazza believe it or not he was a exciting player

Best retired players Cantona, Van Basten & Zidane
Best current Messi, Ronaldo
