Get the legal ones, I have the german ones but as good as they look i run the risk of a fine if stopped

I've been running with them for about two years now.
Was told by Essex police that they were illegal, and I met up with some of my local traffic cops recently and one said to me 'you still running the Audi with dodgy plates?' I laughed and promised to get them changed, that was late last year so i guess im gonna have to get them changed soon.

remember its a £60 none endorsable fine if your plates aint legal! i had m on mine but i heard that points are going to be added to this fine and i rely on my licence for my job so mine are making my garage wall look good right now! not sure if its true about points but i aint taking the risk!

That looks sweet, i love red Audis.

I really keep meaning to get a legal set from Dubmeister, but can never be bothered to send my logbook off!

Theres some sellers on ebay that will do it without the logbook.

I had them before but everyone has them on now.

Id rather standard UK font metal pressed plates, 10x better IMO...

I agree, thats why i want to get mine through Dubmeister 100% legal. UK font and everything.

I bought mine from ebay.
UK legal Pressed plates.
All standard uk lettering, spacing and reflective.
Had them on for a week or two now and no issues.
I drive past a copper every day in work and local police offten do checks on cars as we enter the base and nothing has been said.

What pees me off is that yes these maybe illegal but surely the ones with incorrect spacing and those with fonts to make numbers into letters are even worst, yet I see loads around me

You're more likely to get stopped with an incorrectly spaced UK spec plate than a correctly spaced German style plate to be fair.

I got pulled in Manchester by the Police and Vosa doing stop checks - they did point out to me that my pressed plates were obviously ilegal, which I acknowlegded - they were cool and didn't fine me or anything, just advised me to swap them back to the legit ones when I get 5minutes! However, this was a cool cop and I noticed someone else at the same area (loads of cars being pulled by loads of cops!) getting a sixty quid fine!

My advise is, if you really want to run illegal plates, keep some legit ones in your boot.

I got pulled over in my Golf with German plates at Lakeside, Essex. I was being filmed for the Channel Five TV show, Police Interceptors. Got £30 fine and a telling off. lol
