... this is a dangerous line of enquiry lol

haha yup....didn't realise it was so easy to use - already had my first 'wrong code' error haha, a fault came up saying changer not attached, so I coded the changer (which isnt there) out..... then had to code it back in :)

all good fun but worrying when you realise you could mess it up big style :)

Wonder if i can tell its mapped or not by doig some logging?

Always make a copy of the code before you change it :)

There is a VCDs thread here that lists all the options for the 8p.....somewhere. Sure it was run by Staz

Suprised to find that you can even set the dimming of the footwell lights.....why on earth :)

Several things you can do:

Rear wiper tear drop wipe - wiper activates about 10 secs after the last wipe when you activate the washer.
Needles and clocks always on without headlights on.
Window 'auto' close - when closing the windows on the key fob once the windows start closing you can let go of the button and it will carry on closing itself.
Seat belt chime off.
DRL for the rear side lights activated.

Best bet is to go through all long coding on convenience module etc. and see which boxes are and aren't ticked.

If you see something you fancy that isn't ticked (and is available on you car MY ) then all you need to do is tick it, 'do it' and check the result.

If nothing happens then nothing lost. If something happens that you don't like just put it back to previous setting.

As said previously, make a note of original coding before making any change.

cheers Robin.....

The one that jumps out at me there is the one touch window closing..... ill have a search for the module next chance i get

on another note, my rear wiper already does the tear drop......but my clocks seem to be lit until it starts to get dark, in which case the clocks dim to suggest that i turn my lights on, is this normal?

The dials do that so you know to turn your lights on, but if like me you have Auto lights then they come on anyway. I got my dials to be lit all the time. From memory the end of the code needs to end 04 instead of 08 which is what mine was set to...

I dont have autolights unfortunately but actually like that it dims...... cheers though cos would imagine with autos, id want the same

Hey P do you know where this thread is? Looked and cant find it. I fancy seeing what I can do on mine!!!! I also want to do the picture in motion but not sure how to yet.

Thanks mate, i was just going to start a search :)

Hi S, don't forget to make a note of the original code before you change anything :)

I would recommend that you do an auto scan and save the log, that way you will have a baseline of the coding info for all of your modules.

Go into the engine module, look for the bhp value, change it to what ever figure you want and you'll get that bhp. Don't go over 400bhp though, it'll fry your spark plugs.

if only it was that easy lol
