A3- warren's.

Got some new MY11 rear lights off NHN, reallys sets the rear off now.

Cars not been properly cleaned in ages, so gave it a quick going over but really needs a deep clean when i can.

Oh and the exhaust did get a good polish after all this they had loads of surface rust!! dam salt.

Would like the thank Nigel (NHN) for such a smooth transaction,Pm him for parts, he can probably supply what you want.

Thats it for now, got some more stuff come through post, will update when get them done. Any questions just ask.
 
Bro you need some OEM centre caps for them splits, got the part numbers handy if you want. Cars looking nice, lights work well with silver.

Looks much better War. Car looks really good, a spoiler would be a nice finish to the rear end:icon_thumright:

Cheers mate, i think there great love the look of them on silver. yeah i know it needs one really, just waiting for one to pop up though! never find them cheap and i dont know of any scrappers local that do audis. yeah ive got some small things to put on soon but problem with audis is modding is so expensive, wanted a full oem satnav unit but thats £800 all in, full leather interior is expensive too, also wanted s3 brakes but the list can go on and on.

I might go down to telford for UD and poss ed38 and prob end up at some other but duno yet mate

No problem. Yeah MY11 look really well on silver they stand out alot more. I'll keep and eye out for you fella. Yeah the modding game is expensive lol. Haha yeah and the list will most likely keep growing aswell. Good lad if you plan on going UD let me know.

I know I've said this alot on here tonight on peoples updated threads but again, another mod that makes the car look so much better! :thumbsup:
 
Got some brakes but found out i need hubs off a 2.0tdi which is pooop! Shame as a love the look of them.

But all that is up in the air as unsure anyway as don't even know what type I would need, as am sure I wold have to get ones that match up for the drive linkages and fit the strut size.

I think you need S3 hubs mate, I have a set of S3 brakes I am fitting to my 2.0TDi so will have old TDi hubs, but I'm pretty sure you need S3 hubs as well

Hmm well on that thread someone bolted up similar s3 brakes on a standard a3 hub with pics and said they fit. they defo wont fit my 1.9 hubs but should fit 2.0. have you tryed yours on?
 
No not yet and tbh I usually leave that stuff to mechanic as I pants lol, but I got mine with hubs and everything I've every read about upgrading to S3 brakes said you need hubs. What thread did you see that on?
 
well tonight my mate fitted my S3 brakes on this 2.0tdi A3 and they fitted fine on the hub :)
they were only on for about 10minutes before i told him to take them off :happy:
 
erm search s3 brakes in search function or s3 calipers. its on the second page i think mate. let me know if you ever sort somthing out and dont need the s3 hubs or you 2.0 hubs.

lol you have text btw. anyway yeah didnt you have some spare hubs kicking about mate ? or did you not buy them ? would swapping my hubs with my mates 2.0 work?

Ohh do i lol sorry battery dead will charge it now and reply. Nope my S3 ones got stolen that why i was on the hunt for a new set.
I dont see why not Scott on here got a 2.0tdi Black Edition he said it was a straight swap and didnt need new hubs.
Thats the only reason i got my mate to fit my brakes to his car lol
 
Found the thread warren, yes seems 2.0TDi hubs are just fine, so I'll have a set of S3 hubs up for sale as not worth taking off old ones then.

Is your car not a 2.0 then Ash?

When fitting longer bolts with 5mm spacers what about the locker? Got some 5mm ones but need bolts yet.

Brakes prob won't go on:banghead: but hay ho there forsale now.
 
How much for the brakes, look in good nick, you won't need longer bolts with 5mm spacers bro, I'm gonna run 5mm up front with my new setup and 13mm rear :wub:

Pm you price soon, well i put the 5mm on the back two bolts bolted up fine, then i felt the other two defo rounding the threads!, i stopped before i did to much damage, am doing it correct as messed with wheels for years, you could tell there wasn't a huge amount of thread holding them in too. am not saying your wrong bro just if i could put them on without longer bolts i would! let us know what you think

just have slight surface rust could spray up really nice.
 
rub them over with some wire wool to remove the surface rust and paint the hubs :)
 
Had a lot on so not much been done, still need to get the spacer i have on but looks like i need longer bolts as they start to round off :/

sprayed the surround on the grill, the other went really dull.

Bought some more S3 brakes :laugh: this time with hubs too so will fit them when i can. so SOMEONE hit me up with offers for the others will fit all 2.0!:laugh:

TBH Warren cant see the grill very well, any chance of a better pic & what paint did you use?
 
Looking good Warren, spot on mate. Not fond of windows stickers but the car looks really nice.

Did you spray over the chrome on your grill?

Sorry yeah pics wasn't really aimed at that, were just general, painted with just normal gloss black just a quick shot to spruce it up, was looking dull!

No mate this is the FK grill i have on now, although i have just sprayed up my old on to sell and it looks nice!
