hey,,

im after abit of info im doingto install my wmi kit but i want to put my tank in the boot what pipe can i use to run from back of car to the front I was thinking if I could use 4mm silicone pipe ??

and

where can i buy methanol from in the Birmingham area ?

Thanks

Tony

silicon wont hold the pressure.. unless the pump you are using is low pressure one..
what kit do you have?

i have the cooling mist one mate it as a high pressure 200-250 psi pump,

can you supply the pipe ?

Thanks

what size connections to the nizzle/pump?
they are push fit connections usually. plastic/nylon airline small bore type pipes.
1/4" size on US kits usually.

silicon vac hose is not going to be correct for this

4mm is too big , use a heat proof pipe. Make sure u buy decent quality meth coz u get cheap 'offcuts' , also increase timing with lemmiwinks. My meth comes in at about 1 bar off boost, the 1.8T's dont like large quantities injected so becareful. It made a HUGE difference! :)

Wmi reduced my intake temps by 30 degrees! I run 70% meth with 30% water, the nozzle is mounted by the map sensor and the pump is mounted behind the front bumper

Too much meth there - 50/50 is the max that the cooling mist pumps allow before their internals begin to get eaten by the meth...

Hey welly judging by your power figures im sure 50/50 works great, will do that from now on. Thanks alot, your car looks epic. Do u have any videos?

look for your local biodiesel suppliers for virgin grade 99.95% methanol.

50/50 is max you should mix.. pumps/seals etc not rated more than that

lol 4mm i know now haha i looked at the wrong pipe lol i think ive sorted the pipe now

all ready for mapping now :)

thanks

log 020 when playing with it.. (wmi that is :p )

unisettings to add some timing, in little steps, you dont want to see more than 6CF on block 020

where is the best place to put the injector in boost pipe ? just before throttle body ?

thanks

My friend Bruce owns Methanol-Injection and he would be open for group buys.

If local he can get it fitted also.

His demo car is a 550bhp Skyline.

thing is Devils Own have proven to me to be very unreliable controllers and their service backup is deadly slow

Is that through my friends website?

If it is it surprises me as he is dedicated to his customers.

Let me know.

he does'nt make devils own, he supplies them.. DO themselves have been dire in turning round their failed controllers... Not your friend.. never dealt with him personally. I'm sure he's fine.
I think, DO had an issue with their design, as the ones I had fail on several customer cars were all what looks to be a superceeded controller, but my condifence in DO given the hassle it caused me has gone.
AEM get my business now... and boy thats a decent kit, well price and fully featured out of the box, better engineered imho. I have used Aquamist, Snow Performance, Devils Own, and now AEM... and AEM is the best kit I have yet used.

Fair comment. If you've tried them all................you're in a place to call judgement.
