S3RYE's Build Thread

Ahh.. the special famous buckets - tasty!!!

Get the S3 embroided as I think it looks like it belongs there on the Audi Buckets!

Colours are a personal thing but I did like the white/black leather in your orginal shots - does looked great when new and in good condition.

i know tell me about it... its like you get one thing done and instantly your looking to the next... i thought id take a break after this but am already thinkin stage 2, retrims and rs6 fbsw... oh and defo wanna drop her right on her *** at some point...

yeh i will go for some type of embossment not sure yet though... agree i do like the whole black silver leather with the stitch... very hard to keep clean though!!!

If it's too hard to keep clean then maybe not. I always had the feeling than a pair of blue jeans would stain that white seat.....
 
Ryan they look good mate. Well jealous of you for getting them mind lol. Nice finish to the interior aswell. Glad your happy with them. Thats one mod of the list. Colour wise im unsure lol

I think the black/white combo will without a doubt look nice. That's the obvious colour mixture to use imo. Why not try something different to make them stand out even more? After all, you paid a lot for them, why not show them off? I'm thinking a nice red...

they do.. when i first got the car i literally banned jeans in the car.. one of my mates got used to bringin a pair of trackies out when i was driving haha!

that does look pretty mental.. but i want to go with something either oem or subtle... reds nice but not subtle... looks like a very good job though.. Nath reccomended MJ too... :icon_thumright:
 
Hi Guys aint had much to update her for a while...

Went up to AMD on saturday, originally was booked in for Milltek Non-Res Catback but the day before my clutch started playing up pretty bad... So whilst i was there i got the guys to look at my clutch & revo settings as the car had suffered a misfire ever since i had it remapped last year.. (misfire occured @ around 6500rpm + a stutter at around 80-90Mph for a split second)

so anyway first off they run Vagcom to check for any error codes... none found which was positive as pointed the misfire more towards the revo settings... then it was time for the exhaust, that went on and whilst waiting i was looking in the show cabinets as you do and ended up going for 10mm spacers all round as i was being pressured by my mate on the phone who said "i was lookin at your car the other day n really think it need some spacers" then i mentioned this to all the boys at AMD and they obviously all agreed so got them done too! :wacko::yes:

once all was fitted they went out on a testdrive to check the spacers/exhaust and then to check my clutch and the misfires... after test drive they mentioned they could see it so Shaun got on the phone and revo reckon they have a file to sort it all out :rock: so shaun said all i have to do is drive up there one day this week & they will reflash my ecu with the new file F.O.C sweeet!!

just wanted to say blinding service again & will defo be going back there to complete stage 2+ and probably to fit my clutch too...

BTW: i have bad rubbing on there rear which was mentioned straight away by the guys there but im gonna take the screw out the arch liner when i get a torx screwdriver that fits!! hopefully that'll sort it.. if not might have to sell a set and get some 8mm's :ermm:

Love your car fella looks sweet every time i see a photo of it. Spacers make the stance look so much better. Hope you get that little issue sorted asap. I'm gonna be down your way next month so was thinking of dropping you and paolo a message. Keep up the good work

looking good mate, was about time you got a proper exhaust on there haha
just wait till your clutch is sorted and then you can give it some stick through a tunnel.... if you can get to the Rotheride tunnel when its quite... its got a really good echo in there haha

Ash you will def have to let me know when your down, only a couple weeks till Bristol as well!

Well I'm looking to get the clutch sorted asap as it's so bad. I use it on a daily basis so have to have it on the road! Just trying get everything together as cheap as poss but I've been helped pretty well so far, so should be sorted sooner rather than later.

The exhaust is blinding. I haven't been able to heat it properly yet. but even idle and over run are :wub: still got DP to do yet! :w00t:
 
that all good then, once its all sorted you can take it out for a porpa play!
haha makes a bid difference doesnt it, ah dont mention the DP! really want mine done just its going to be a while before i can afford to get it done :(

Same mate this clutch situation is gonna slow things down a bit. Tbh it's a good thing. I'll get lots of little bits done that need doing. You know the cheap things you never get round to doing :yes:
 
it does have its plus side... means now it will be able to take the full mapping ;)
haha what cheap things you planning on doing... think most of my smaller things are done now :( only thing really that would be nice is a FBMFSW but thats not really that cheap and would rather put the money towards the DP & HPFP

its nice to get the little bits done, i quite want some PIAA DRL's and side lights but refuse to spend £70 on a few bulbs haha
with your plates you getting a private one or getting some pressed ones?

the quality is bang on and although not the cheapest they are the only road legal ones, theyve got a good selection of surrounds, if you pm me your number ill send you a pic when i go out the car in a bit

yeh well the neighbours seem to be quite amazed by snow foam! its also funny when you see your neighbour manage to walk the dog, go shopping & clean his own car in the time i cleaned mine haha!

same! i could prob clean 3-4 neighbours cars every week... could prob earn myself an extra 100er lol!
 
looks good with the spacers mate, my heads away with working out spacer sizes lol must start a thread and see if someone can help me out
