8P vs 8PA

yep, whilst searching for parts I see 8P and 8PA...

I think 8P is the generic chassis type which is the current model, as distinct from the 8L which was prior to 2004.

8PA is more of a specific sales type i.e. 3 or 5 doors, diesel or petrol, SE or Sport etc.

According to Elsawin, 8PA is the 5 door variant, 8P1 is the 3 door and 8P7 is cabrio.
