Im trying to tidy up my engine bay as much as I can at the moment,
so far I've removed the N249 hoses, and am in the process of replacing most rubber hoses with silicone.

so wanted to know, is it ok just to get rid of the charcoal cannister?
my mates got a 1.8T A3, and he got rid of his, so i don't see why i cant,

Is there any positives or negatives to doing this?? other than just removing some crap from the bay?

Hey coyle i removed mine when fitting the oil catch can and now the pcv breather system is alot cleaner, no negatives

sounds good to me, i'll get rid of it then

Leave the solenoid electronically connected to avoid fault codes .

Make sure you vent the pipe properly as well to avoid fuel vapour in the engine bay - can cause obvious issues such as large explosions and the like.

Finally, cap off the metal pipe which runs across the bulkhead - it goes to both the TIP and the TB. This left open will cause you a large vac/boost leak.
