Heater blower fan motor replacment

I need to get this replaced. Fan gave up altogether and having looked up a few thing it's most likely a new motor needed. I stripped down the old one and getting power to it but fan not turning.
Does anyone know if the blower motor from a Golf/Octavia/Leon will fit as I know these are very similar cars?

mk4 golf mate. cheaper on ebay! check part numbers though as there are different types.

I imagine that will just squeeze a few more hours of life out of the unit rather than actually fix it. The brushes wear out, that is just a fact of life....

I replaced mine a while ago.
When i stripped the old unit down to find the fault it was simply a stuck brush (stuck back in the slide)
However GSF supplied a valeo unit 1/4 of the price of Gen' Audi.

Mine's been working perfectly ever since and in 6 days it will be a year ago I done it.
