Ive had my Car around 5 months now and have done a few mods but still have along way to go to get it how I want it. I thought Id put together a thread as I go along,
My previous car was an Astra Nurburging but wanted somthing cheaper to run,

After looking at severel B7 Estates in my budget, and reading up on them decided to go for a B6, mine was the 2nd I looked at but it had grey interior so had to look past that and bought it.

First thing was to get some bigger wheels with a 35 offset, quick look round I come accross some Rs6 19" wheels that needed a bit of a refurb

Next thing was to tackle the interior as Im not a fan of Grey. So after a long sertch and a 450 mile round trip I got myself this black B7 S line leather trim with door panels, My plan was to transfer the Black leather onto the grey door pannel to break the grey up a bit but after chopping up 2 black and one grey door pannel I scrapped that idea.
Here are a few of the seats but as you can see the colour sceme just dos nt look right

After a month of driving round with no rear pannel on and looking for black interior trim its like rockin horse and what I could find was so expensive I decided to have ago at changing the colour of my own.
I bought a product called plastidip you can spray it, dip it or paint it
I removed and sprayed the lower dash and pannels then sprayed all the piano trim silver
2 leather door pannels in black came up on Ebay and snapped them up and its starting to take shape now, There is still a bit of grey trim in there but think it looks alot better, Im wating a black set of S line mats now to finish it off inside.

My next jobs where wheels and suspension,
I got offered some Rs4 wheels with a 45 offset, as was looking to Run as close to the arch as possible, then ordered some Koni springs with a 35mm drop, after the suspension settled down I looked into seeing how much I could get away with bringing the wheels out. I ordered some 15mm spacers so was running Et30, The fronts were too much and could just get away with the rears but if I got some weight in the boot it caught, so I had 2mm taken off the rear and 3mm off the front.

I like the what you have done . I love the S-line seat's and am very jealous now. This product is ment to be the nuts for dash and trim's.

Image Vinyl Dye will renew or change the colour of leather, vinyl and plastic.
In a simple to use Aerosol Can you can simply spray onto your item.

Like all our Vinyl Dyes, it is a true dye, not a paint. It seeps into the material and physically bonds with it, changing or renewing the colour and it will not rub off, because it binds with the material it repels water, soil and stains.

Unlike our other Vinyl Dyes, it was especially developed to colour, and re-colour and repair the insides of Cars. It has been used on car dashboards to completely change the interior, on motorbike furring’s, stereo systems, and even leather, faux leather and material shoes, wedding shoes are a popular item to change!

I like that alot, the chrome mirrors finish it nicely

How close is your clearance on the arches when fully loaded with 5 people ?

Looks pretty good. What size tyres are they 235s or 225s?

With 3 in the back it does slightly catch somtimes and its very close looking at going a bit lower now its settled and take another mill off the spacers
Im running 235s i could go 225 but not keen in the stretch look

Just wanted to check if you ever have clearance issues. i have a set of ET33 RS4s 18" which i am waiting to put on, just worried about arch fouling as i put a lot of weight in the rear of mine when i am using it to go plastering.

looking good, the pics of your car with spacers on is exactly how i want mine to sit

your signiture says your running Et32 fronts & Et33 rears........should it read the other way round or have i just got in completly wrong ?

With alot of weight in the back it does catch but mine is Et32 on the rear I think with 33 i think I would get away with it. The tyre dosnt foul on the arch itself its the **** sheild,

Thanks for that, your running 235/35/18 aren't you? I am planning on 225/40/18 so should give some additional clearance. Looks the nuts, have so say at a time when everyone is getting rid of the chrome, it looks good contrasting with the black at the front of yours.

Im on 235 35 19s was thinking about ditching the chrome but want to keep a bit of an OEM look for now

what fk coillies you got mate? and whats the ride like?

They are Fk street coilovers they only cost £225 for the set inc delivery The ride is quite good and when you hit a pothole it dosnt feel like your gonna loose a wheel, saying that Ive only had them on a couple of months so not sure what they will be like over time

Sweet mate, I really like it

Cheers Chris

Update I had a go in new A5 S line the other day and the thing that caught my eye was the S line badge on the steering wheel, and I thought I could do somthing like that with to my sports wheel, so when I got home I did a sertch on Flee bay and came up with S line badge £13.99 so I bought it. Looking aat the picture on the advert it didnt look that thick so I though it would be easy to sand the back right down and just glue it onto the wheel, its arrived today and its quite thick and curved to follow the shape of the wheel here is a pic

slinebadge001.jpg

slinebadge002.jpg

I then decided to sink the badge into the wheel so measured it up and began cutting into the wheel, this is not a mod I would recomend for the faint hearted, I cut from lug to lug then made an imprint of the badge then cut from corner to corner in a cross. pulling the leather back I dug out the foam then pushed the leather back inside the hole blobed a but of Glue round the edge then pushed the badge,
Please excuse the quality of the pics were taken from my I phone
