Photography competition

Welcome to the first ASN photography competition.
Theme is B&W
Closing date for submissions is February the 18th

Some basic rules.
-Any interpretation of the theme is accepted.
​

-You must be the person that took the photo.
-One submission per person.
-Images must full with in forum rules.
-While post processing in photoshop is allowed, adding or removing parts of the picture is not.
-The image must have an Audi in it.

Send your submissions to me and I will be more than happy to host it for you.
Voting will be on the 19th and anonymously.

I am happy with related to, or we end up with eleventy billion pics on Audis but B&W. Something that can be linked to will suffice. You want the pics here? Or elsewhere?

Maybe scrub the related to Audi? Just have B&W theme, may get more entries?

If this turns out to be a regular thing, we used to issue points 1st = 50, 2nd = 25, 3rd = 10?

I have no problem with hosting. i have a pro Photobucket account
I think we do need a theme of sorts, maybe one that changes each time?

Thats what a few photography forums i use regularly do.

Thats how i've seen it done in the past as well.
The winner of the current competition picks the theme of the next competition.

How ever you want to get all the images together for people to vote is fine. what ever is easiest.

I think sticking with a changing theme but keeping Audi as a main point, mainly the car would be good, since its an audi forum.

Mitch, nice pic.
But the idea is to send the images to me, i'll create a thread on the 19th with all submissions and people will be able to vote for the image they think is best.
All images and voting is done anonymously.

I spose the other way is to post them and put a poll onto it and let people vote that way. The poll can be anonymous iirc

There is that idea but be a organised mess with people scrolling through posts to get to images.
Unless its cleared out but then its more work for mods.

Or, let them post away in this and i'll just copy and past their links in to a new voting thread?

I don't see the point of posting anonymously, voting yeah, but why the posting? If people see other people posting pics they might be given a bit of inspiration. Without them, people might be less inclined to have a go themselves.

I'm just going by the way i've seen it done before and works.
I'll happly going along with what works for this forum.

What will you do with the images i.e. will you use them for advertising or is this just an ASN comp thingy? Im just wondering as my images are water marked (trying to stop people stealing them!)

Images should all ways have something to do with audi (keeping it in with the forum).
