Standard k04 turbo needed asap!!

Yesterday after finally having time to drag the s3 out for a run out/check over for whats required for Oulton Park track day 12th feb the turbo let go :( so now I need another stock k04 turbo to put on for the trackday. Ive ripped theturbo off and took the sump off and found the oil pick up pipe/strainer in a gummed up way which is I guess why its s**t its self.

When funds allow and the house is finished it will be getting a hybrid conversion but at the moment I just want another standard turbo to chuck on so I can go to Oulton Park next month,

Does anyone have a spare they want to sell?!:laugh:

If there was oil pressure issues caused by the strainer, you would have got the oil pressure light. If that's not been seen, I doubt it's the cause sadly.

She might have just been a tired girl.
 
i may be needin one as well, as my car starting to do this annoying screech/whislte thing,, ill defo be staying away from any product by xs power,,
 
i used to make the dies that they cast the KKK aluminum body from for this turbo its not fake it is a cheap chinese copy it will work but for How long? it does not state that it is a kkk just a K04 i would rather fancy my chances with a second hand one than one of these.
 
CR turbos will recon it for about 450 iirc and if its repairable or you could go stage 3 hybrid for about 650 so still cheaper than a new one :)

I bought a new turbo several months ago now off eBay genuine one for £210 and got it looked over at a local specialist charged me £48 + vat as he said it was mint .. Lucky I guess but wouldn't go eBay cheapie my mate bought one and lasted 5 months on his lcr before the turbo literally shattered !!

No you will need alot more for a stage 3 i suggest you do a search :)
 
Well obviously fmic , decat , 4 bar fpr , what else ??
I'm not doing it but some people that read might think £650 = 340 bhp ( think that's stage 3 :-S )

£650 does not equal 340 bhp. Sadly.

Realistically needed to hit 340 on a hybrid IMO: FMIC, 3" downpipe, decat/sports cat, WMI, High Flow K04 Exhaust Manifold, Hybrid turbo, custom stage 3 map, 3" turbo intake pipe, forged con rods.

All of the above do not come cheap.... I know.
