Spare key questions`

Right i havent got a spare key and iv locked myself out the car a couple of times no (dont ask) lucky my mate has the tools to break in .

Phoned dealers and quoted me a new key for around £100 + £25 coding!

BUT Blueie thinks he has a plan! There is plenty of keys going cheap on ebay could i re-code one of them for my car?

Also could i buy the new style key? As mine is the 2004.

Think iv just asked a stupid question! The key would be cut to a specific car wouldnt it

you can get the fobs with blank key have that cut to yours and get recoded
a lot cheaper

Is this from experience? Can i get it cut at your normal lock smith

yes iv bought fobs from the bay for £11 blank key £2.50 ebay again
cut at a shop near me £3 and my mates got the stuff to recode them with so a few lagers

make sure the fob you buy matches the fob you have

Where can you get it re-coded ? Does it have to be Audi?

Can be Audi for £25 or you can get others might do it for a similar price

Might get away with it on a 2004 but no chance 2005 onwards !
