Opinions please - S3 Ibis Sportback roof rails colour

As title suggests, if it were an Ibis S3 Sportback Black edition, so black styling pack (grill and fog surrounds), which would look better, Black or Alu roof rails? No pan or basic sunroof either, just white roof.

It's a usual, dull request, but if you know of contrasting pics, I'd appreciate seeing them.

I've searched and looked at willmac's old Suzuka with black rails, which is close (looks white in some pics, so I get the idea), but can't locate one with alu's.

You enquired at the dealers as to price of a black set? I know they can be retrofitted, but you've got alu ones in place already which would save you a heap of hassle I assume.

N8, that's what I thought, but then with Silver rings and mirrors, the alu rails could tie in nicely? I'll quote myself above and find out how much they are, 'cos it could be a easy (aye right) swap for a quick change. It's all about the more doors win now Nate.

i'm pretty sure you can't spec a BE with silver roof rails anyhow

at the very least, you couldn't spec an 8P2 with black grille with silver roof rails, only black

Although a BE, it's a costed option to have Black rails, 230 bangers if memory serves me correct. To be honest, think rails are an option themselves.

Nah man silver/alu is lost against white, you gotta go black really. I to this day am still glad I got my Sportback

Have to agree here, silver rails, mirrors, grill etc are completely wrong for ibis white & the like.

Thanks!! Funny thing is I replaced this car with a 2009 in Monza Silver and did the door rings also, I get a lot of compliments plus the car doesn't feel left out sitting next to my 1985 UrQuattro in the garage
