I've got a little issue with one of my alloys that have been damaged by kerb cuts/scrapes...what's the best treatment or product for it; of course trying to avoid Pro repair?

I guess I'd need a filler as there's slight gouges, so can you recommend a godd one, please? Also, have you used that spray paint mentioned, Aythreee?

Yeah you could fill them for a better finish. Depends how much time you want to invest in it really.
I just filed down the scrapes on mine to smooth it out and then sprayed the Wurth over it. Came out quite good. On closer inspection there's still a visible difference to the rest of the wheel but to it looks a lot better than the kerbing that was there before.
If you are going to use this paint you really need to make sure you cover a large part of the surrounding area of your car. The paint, once airbourne, gets everywhere!

In fact, here's a photo taken before and after I sprayed my wheels using Wurth. This was taken straight after spraying, the colour match is even closer now that its dry.
yeha, looks good...perhaps another coat will do it!

I'd use Wurth if I were you. Google it and you'll see that it gets spoken of highly for colour matching alloy wheels, especially german ones.
my advise take the wheel off the car its so much easyer to work on and alot less to mask up too so only have to worry about the tyre not the brakes bodywork etc.. , the wurth paint is good tho and depending how bad they are just rub them down as if you use too much filler when you get new tyres or hit another kerb then the filler will just rip off the wheel and you'll be back to sqaure one in work we only use filler as a last resort as we try to rub them down as much as possible before using any filler hope it helps mate

no probs mate , for the sand paper i would use around 320 grit wet 'n' dry paper and use it wet it has less dust that way but finish it off with either 1500 grit or 2000 grit to give it a nice smooth finish have a look at some video's on you tube to get some tips if your unsure on anything

I've refurbed a lot of alloy wheels using normal body filler, some have been really bad others not so, below are a few pics of the wheels I have done:
My number one tip, is prep work is essential, good prep work on the wheel itself will make the difference between OK and Excellent, take your time.
Create a key surface over the old paint work, by using 1200 wet and dry
Apply the filler, it doesn't matter if you over fill, as you can sand it down later with 400 grade paper
I Used a heat lamp and oil filled radiator to generate heat after I had sprayed the wheels, the heat will make the finish so much better.
I would also use 1600 wet and dry, wet to lightly sand over the paint before applying clear coat (Lacquer)
I didn't need to take the tyres off the wheels, just brake the beading on them, as you can gain access to the edges easily then.

Excellent job on those MG wheels mate. When I had an MG all my money was spunked on replacing 3 headgaskets!
