Hi,

As some of you know from my previous posts I'm looking into getting a Votex kit for my car, and was wondering if anyone has fitted an aftermarket copy kit before? And if so how does it fit / quality? Where did you get it from?

I'm looking at the 'quattro' kit, which is basically a Votex kit on autoalloys website, anyone got one from there?

Cheers,
Az

We used to fit the votex kits on the demo's at work when they first came out and it seemed to depend a lot on how much time you had for trial fittings and little tweaks to get the best out of them. "Preparations" the key to a nice fit and plenty of panel wipe cos there's usually glue everywhere !!!

even the factory fitted/genuine votex kit is a bad fit so even harder for copied parts to fit.

best to go with gmbh ones, i'll swap you;)

AZ - - i thought you had a S4 kit on yours ? if so, will you be selling your S4 rear bumper ???

Thanks for the feedback guys.

My mate owns his own bodyshop so he'd be the one fitting it and his very good at what he does, he also knows how fussy I am so he'll make sure it's as good as it could be.

I'd go for that genuine back bumper skirt if they had the rest of it to go with it! Haha, I wouldn't wanna get just a genuine back part and have to settle for non genuine for the rest of it, I'd rather keep it all from one manufacture.

I have got a full genuine s4 kit on mine landspeed, so I'll bare you in mind, but really unsure if I should take the plunge and go for a non genuine votex in place of my genuine s4 kit....... Hard cos I do much prefer the Votex styling to the s4, but I'd be ****** if fit and quality is rubbish of the Votex.

OK Az, just let me know if you do decide to part company.........cash waiting :eyebrows:

I like your style there Carl! Find me as many bodykits so you can get your hands on my s4 kit! ;)

Cheers for that though mate, unfortunately I can't view any of those bodykit galleries though cos they require a flash media thing to be downloaded, and I'm on my iPhone at the mo, so will have to wait until I can get on the laptop tonight. I'd love to check out the wide body kits though, that'll go nicely with the new 9.5" rims I've just ordered to go on each corner!

Do you manage to get the part number to the front recess plate at all mate? :) now cfoster is making me up some new plates I wanna get the recess plate ordered so I can get them both fitted at the same time. :)

Loving that USP wide body kit!!

Owwwwwwww I wish I lived in the states where all these parts are so readily available and more than likely affordable. :(

me to, i can help you with delivery, i run a national transport operation.........there is nothing stopping you now Az :superman:

Ha look at you two ganging up on me! Haha.

Well I'm seriously thinking of kits and whether I should go for something different, but I like the s4 kit as an OE kit, and I like the fact it fits properly, so some serious thinking needs to be done I think!

Thouht this myt be a tease for you as well . . . . . . !

Why is this not available in Europe https://pgperformance.com/product.php?productid=16980&cat=1570&page=1 . . . . . . its soooooooooo nice. Works out @ £307.12!!!

Reckon you could get it shipped for close to £150 + spraying n fitting & its just getting too expensive!!!!!!!

I emailed Devals US stockist (above is Canadian) n they said they could do the bumper + shipping for $790 which is about £568.50 but their price for the bumper was about £100 more than candaian stockist (from whom i am still awaiting a response) so maybe take a oner off that if they get back to me! They also say Air Freight would cost $425 ..... not much less than the bumper!

Maybe worth a think but like i said, looking a wee bit on the expensive side at the mo!

as mentioned in the other thread (S4 bumper), probably pay the same if not less from a dealer on your door step
