Hi folks, not posted much recently but had the Audi for about 2 months now and loving it!

Since I got it I have now done the following:

- Xenon number plate lights
- Audi Shark Fin Aerial
- Tax Disc holder
- Debadged and s-line badges added
- Windows Tinted
- Front splitter sprayed

Went out tonight and gave it a wash and of course took some pics to share :)

Got it booked in for a remap when we are back in Ireland in March. Should boost the power to about 180bhp and 385nm!

Just loving the comfort and build quality, not to mention the averaged 45mpg :D

Sammy

i like the badges, adds a bit of colour to it :) plus it has the s-line interior as standard :)

That's interesting. How does a non S-line have an S-line interior?

Needs lowering a little as looks to high, that will make it look better & probably ride quality improve, talk to Damian@dpm about some good springs as cant see the need for much else.

not sure, previous owner ordered them from factory i believe. :)

nah not gonna be lowering it, my last 3 cars have been on springs and coilovers and tbh half the reasons for changing to this car was for the comfort and practicality :)

Uh who said anything about coilovers, seems there is a misconception that lowering always involves coilovers & **** on the floor, I was thinking some nice eibach pro's or alternative that not only lowers it (small amount) which will help handling so not so much roll, but also the spongy drivability of oem springs is removed & comfort added at same time.

Personally chap, I cant stand **** dragging on floor, so I went for a better shock as in FSD & Eibach Pro springs & its lowered minorly & the ride is far superior to stock now, drives hell of allot better than with oem kit.

well coilovers = lowering. Also if you read my post I stated I had also had lowering springs on my last few cars.

im really not interested in lowering it, been there done that. Most of my journeys are motorway miles and im not interested in how it handles in the bends! its a great car to drive and i love it as it is :)

No, coilovers are 1 component for lowering, they're not the only lowering item available, why people think this is beyond me, which is why I mentioned springs solely.

I did read your post which clearly said "coilovers & springs" which denotes you had both of these fitted in that context of how written, so replies were based on this.

For the record, nobody was ordering you to do this, was purely an observation of your car that others have done to there B8 & was impressed with the look over stock, you're free to do as you wish of course, but others will comment on the look when posting on a forum, afterall I'm sure thats why you posted the pics anyway for peoples thoughts, of which I gave.

For me its too high, almost looks like an allroad height, anyway thats only IMHO you understand :)

Apart from that its a nice car & the other mods compliment it further especially the tints.

i didnt say coilovers were the only lowering option on a car, i have had several modified cars and have had coilovers and springs (seperately) fitted to them. that doesnt "denote" having both at the same time on these cars.

i hardly said anyone was ordering me to lower the car!

anyway back on topic, thanks for the comments. that is why i posted the pics :)

Sammy,

When you've been out for some fresh air, come back and reread the thread. You come across as being quite arsey about it.

NHN suggested you try some springs to acheive a slightly lower stance and improved handling. That's all.

Then again if you're not interested in "how it handles in the bends" but want a better ride then I'm surprised you're not listening to what people say. It comes across as you know everything. I'm not saying that's how you are but that's the vibe that's coming across to me from a totally impartial point of view.

oh my god, i hardly think i know everything, surely im entitled to put my opinion across about lowering my car?

im not wanting a better ride, im fine with it the way it is.

tbh i cant be bothered getting into this anymore, maybe you should go "get some fresh air" thanks for your input

If I'm honest Sammy, Scotty has tbh commented very fairly & imho after reading the thread for the 3rd time now, truthfully, anyway lets take deep breathes & forget the previous & move forward.

So tell me, when you gonna lower it?

Lovely looking car, but i'm afraid i have to agree with the following points-

1. S-Line badges on a non S-line seems daft. Have you told your insurance out of curiousity? I know of a case where insurance didn't pay out because a car was badged as something it wasn't.......?

2. It is too high. Sorry. A simple set of decent springs would make a huge difference to looks, stance and above all, handling.

As i say, it is a nice looking motor but if you post on forum, you have to accept the negative as well as the positive comments- not everyone will agree with your choices or decisions, and you have to accept that politely and move on (without coming across as a bit of a d**k...).

Anyway, best of luck and it's nice to hear you enjoy the car.

Looks a nice car, but lose the badges... Anyone who knows about Audi's knows it's not an S-Line. No Xenons for a kick off as they are standard on the S-Line give the game away!!

Oh forgot to add -

I like the colour and the photography skills!

I have to agree why badge up as S-Line?Also the B8 doesn't have S-Line badge on the grill only on the wing,B7's had them on the grill.

I wish i had B&O though only extra i really miss.

i like the badges m8,mind you ive put some on mine lol, nice car

The rear view mirror is cream as are it looks like the interior door pillars. I thought the B8 SLine interior was all black? Mine is. My B7 Sline had a cream roof lining though.

Don't think it's a S-Line, hence comments on badges.....

Yeah thought he'd said that it had the SLine interior fitted as standard. I think it might have the sport seat option that my mate got on his SE. His don't have the SLine embossed into them but defo the same seats.
