hey guys! got this damage repairable over the weekend there for just under £4000

its a 2.0L 2003 tdi SE 140 BHP, loveeeeee ittt!!

getting most of the parts this week so work will be pretty fast! im givin myself a month to get it on the road!
 
£4000 you say....very nice!

How much do you think it will cost to get back on the road?
 
Nice price, hope it won't be to costly to put back on the road!

What happened on top of the bonnet? Is that from heat???
 
Bonnet, wing and headlight will cost about £200 max, bumpers are only £20-30 on ebay if needed.Might get lucky and get them in red and that would be a hell of a bargain for less than 4k!
 
Ok so work started tonight on the car, got the radiator out and looks like i need the whole 3 the lot! Anyone
have a rough idea on how much the would cost? Plus the guard thing that holds the radiator in place needs replaces
cost for that too?

It will fit.
The wings did not get changed until the 8P3, where the repeater lights got moved from the wings to wing mirrors .

well basically the car is finished, whats left is to find me some very nice rims to set the car off and maybe lower it a tad.

Come along way wait looks much better. Looks lovely and very tidy. To finish it off as said nice alloys, do you have any in mind? and to lower it. I'd also go for a spoiler if you got spare cash.

Yeah I'm torn between the following sets of wheels, BMW style 5's, bbs ch's & lm's.

I've got a spoiler on at the moment but its just not clear in the photo's mate ;)
 
Great job lad, looks spot on. Set of wheels would really set it off.
What did the rebuild cost if you don't mind me asking? Looks like it could be a real bargain there.
 
absolute bargain, well done! the front end does look all out of alignment tho. definitely need to sort that. it ruins an otherwise tidy motor!

i rather like the wheels you have in the photo, but perhaps a bit small.

BBS CHs are by far and away my favourite aftermarket wheel - or Pescaras if you're looking for OEM. they look the same, but without "MOTORSPORT" written on them.

needs lowering tho. i'd probably do that first
 
looks great, and an absolute bargain. Good job on the spraying, was that your own handy work?
 
hahaha moag, my handy work wouldnt leave it as tidy as it is now lol

@ Sub39h yeah I must admitt that the alignment is out by a good bit and I'd need to get it in the garage and sort it out but my schedue is packed at the moment :(

first thing would be lowering it a bit, not too low and then a good set of alloys. I would like to upgrade the head and tail lights to maybe 09 model. but not too sure yet. I'd also be looking to get a set of buckets but I'm thinking that my cash flow won't let me do that for a while yet. lol
 
headlights is not an easy mod mate - you need an entire front end. you'd have been better off doing that when you were rebuidling the car the first time

No problem...I can see it my fault was looking on my phone lol! Looks sweet mate and makes such a difference the front end conversion is one of the best mods you can do. On alloys depends if your getting reps or genuine ones really. BBS CH win all day though. Next thing on my list if i was you, would be to lower it and get some nice alloys. Changes the appearance so much with some tidy alloys and slight lowering. Then i'd get MY09 or MY11 rears.7

yeah I'm proud of mywee front end conversion. :p yeah bbs's are definately the way forward. I just can't decide which ones would look best. I like a dishy set of wheels but again im not sure!

^^ thats what yours would look like with the RS4s and after you lower it. (minus the leon/cupra splitter on the bottom of bumper)

S3 buckets cost £££ and very rare go for some CS Sportsters or buy Lukes front seats :)

I wouldnt go for RS4 alloys a bit played out and see them on most Audi's and alot of thw Vw boys down by me have them. How much you willing to spend on alloys?:happy:

umm im not too bothered about the £££ i spend on rims aslong as they set the car off.

I like a dishy rim, something like ..... borbet A's or Rotiforms, or the brabus rims, something along those lines but I also want to steer clear of it being a common rim, want an unique alloy for my car.

I think maybe BBS CH's or LM's or my best bet?

Ahh thats cool well genuine LM will be over £2,500 and they are rare. You could get some genuine CH for £1200 or CK:wub:. Or get reps for less than £650 or genuine Audi Speedlines AUDI 9X19 BBS SPLIT RIM ALLOYS 5X112 SET OF 5 SPEEDLINE on eBay (end time 17-Jan-11 17:54:46 GMT)

Check the rim thread loads of photos in there

Yes that ebay link you sent is twisting my arm towards those for the A3 to be honest! I think those rims would be the type I'll be going for. I'm 99.99999% sure of it lol

Its Ashley lol, Benskin my surname but get called Ben anyway so i dont mind :) Speedlines are lovely N8 on here can normally get a set.
Looking forward to seeing this on some new alloys and lowered i hope ha
 
whoops sorry Ashley mate!

haha yeah defo getting it lowered, the misses is all against lowered cars but hey when it gets lowered theres little she can do apart from moan for about a month afterwards lol :)


how about a set of BBS RS II splits?
