Anyone else so disheartened with the above that -like me- they have reverted back to the cheat and camper infested MW2?:crying:

Well I avoided this like the plague at first as MW2 was a pile of s**t. My brother in law stayed mine the other night and brought his black ops with him and iv got to say its restored my faith in the series its a cracking game imo. I would go as far to say its better than waw which was my favourite of the series. What do you think is so bad about it ?

Have you tried playing it online? It's unplayable on PS3 unless you can deal with constant server errors, host crashes and the inability to join parties with people on your friends list. I played it for about a week, and got to around level 42 i think but gradually it started to crash more and more. It got to the stage where i just couldn't be ***** any more and went back to MW2. Shame because the time i had online with it at the beginning was excellent.

Been on the callofduty web-site forums and it's pretty much the same for everyone on PS3 but no one seems to be acknowledging the issues and the word on the streets is that Activision and IW knew it wasn't ready for release on PS3 but released it anyway.

Seriously, if you are considering buying it borrow your BIL's and get a bit of online play in first.

Completed it in about 5hours and thought it was a bit poo.
The graphics and game play was good but I could never get in to the missions or the character.
Way to many cut scense. The game seemed to busy giving you a sample and then showing you a video.
The Computer characters just annoyed me and was pointless.
They would hardly ever shoot back at the bad guys, even to point they could walk past the people on your team and walk round behind you and start shooting you.

I might give it ago as multiplayer but for now i'm carrying on with Fallout New vegas.

P.S. Pc version.

I did the same Axios with the campaign mode and agree with most of what you said. It wasn't great imo but I also understand that some people thought it was awesome. Different strokes! Personally I have completed every COD from the start and was online with medal of honour or heroes (can't remember which) on PS2 and I still couldn't say what I think is my fave

As for Fallout Las vegas, been looking at that, never played any of the series and I'm a total shooter nut, would I enjoy it then do you reckon? Also been looking at Halo.

If you like long games, indepth games with alot of walking then yes.

You walk from 1 end of the desert to other, walking to people, making friends, doing quests and killing bugs.
But each mission you do or don't dont effect the game and your standing in that community. You also have to look in houses, huts, bins, bodies and cases for weapons, drink, food, monies and scrap metal.
you're weapons wear out and needs repairing or replacing, you get tired, hungry and thursty. all of which needs attention. The reaction people have to you also depends on what you do to them, what you are wearing and who you are friendly with.
You also have experiance points, skill points, level up points and theses all have different actions in the game, weapons, people and you.

It is a bit in depth.
But if you get annoyed with all that you could just cheat.
I did 40 hours of game play before i got annoyed, cheated and now doing what i want. lol
over 60 hours of game play and now getting a bit more bored of it.
Might complete star craft 2 at some point.

I didn't touch the campaign it was all online. I wasn't getting any server crashes but I didn't try to join any of my friends games. My brother in law was having trouble with his when he got it and I give his PS3 a static ip and wired it too and his has been fine since. Mine is done this way as well as the ps3 put in the dmz on the router. I also have a good router instead of the crap the isp's send out lol. I will say though that I only played it on mine for one night and then some of the day after so it might just be luck that I didn't get any problems but that doesn't explain why my BIL's is working ok now. I prob won't be getting it till next week but I will add you on PSN.

I'll have a look into the static IP, I'm on a Linksys router which I bought to replace the one the IP sent me. Most of my mates are PS3 too and almost all are having similar problems. I hope it wasn't just luck bud and it runs seamlessly for you but I have sat and played split screen TDM for several hours with no issues and then suddenly every game starts crashing.

I did consider going Xbox but decided against it.

See you on line bud. Let me know how you get on with it btw.

i use my xbox for most online games and my ps3 for single player action. except GT for both.

Black ops is good but a bit short single player with a confusing story and the multiplayer was a bit samey for me. they are starting to get repetative

I'm not on commission, but try Bad Company 2. If you like online shooters, it's the best one out there.

I am absoloutly crap at these sort of games, but I still try to play them. Where as my 12 year old son loves them and buys them (if we don't buy for a present). He seems to of had hardly any probs with the game play or server probs and can paly for hours on-line with his friends as a team. I have only personally experienced one total crash of the PS3, but as I get very bored with keep picking myself up after being merdered :( I turned it off anyway.

Bad company 2 is coming high on my wish list i think. My mate plays it a lot and i was only put off it previously because of battlefield 1943 which i found unplayable.

Everyone seems to have good things to say about bad company so i reckon i'll give that a go.

One to avoid apparently is MOH apparently that also was pants online.

Sacrilege! I played 1943 for over a year. Loved it. It got me into Battlefield Bad Company.
I never got the hang of COD online. I just found myself running around getting killed. I didn't see the purpose of it.
