Why isnt Audi-sport On Facebook!!!

And to sum up FB!!! its good if you use it what its made for... If you bitch on it... its pretty clear ur a pussy and can't do it to who evers face... Facebooks good for me because my family now live in Abu Dhabi and to upload pics to an email takes forever, Texting pictures would cost an arm and leg, so fb is just easier... My God so many negative people, Cheer up!

bet you wished you'd never come on here haha. just like facebook, there are some right tools on here too.
maybe you should start an as.net group on facebook, then people who are interested can join, and people who arn't interested, oh oh oh difficult...can choose not to join.

welcome. i look forward to joining the group

no need to wind us up....we know youre fibbing!

I kid you not, I probably have double the post count on FB than on here! lol

It's very boring at work when it's dead, and being the boss, I'm allowed to **** about, so chatting with my mates who are in the same trade on FB kills time quicker.

Maybe not for everyone, but it works for me.

I'm saaaad, I know.

I aint even on FB, never have been, I also know of a lot of people who have recently come off it as its more hassle than its worth.

It can also cause alot of trouble as I here ALOT of companies are now using it to 'spy' on their employees and also in recruitment, reputation and company reputation is a big thing nowadays and the big corps dont want that crazy loon working for them do they?

Oh it does obviously have its positives too, eg photo and video sharing and its good for people in long distance relationships or to keep in touch with friends and family that may be on the other side of the world.

This is true.
A guy at my missus's workplace (UK Government) got called before his management because they had been tipped off about a discussion that was taking place on his facebook page. It was about UK born muslim troublemakers and he commented that they "should go back home!".
He admitted it was a silly and thoughtless comment due to the fact that the people he was referring to were born in England, and his manager made him delete all the posts in front of him and gave him a warning.

i dont mind facebook, used in moderation of course - although see what some are saying with regards to people replacing their lives with it. I have made contact with people that i had previously lost contact with since moving back from London/Essex, it helps for other numerous reasons and does not restrict me to my settee!! i prefer to talk to people in the main but everything i use has its use to me....this place is brilliant for worktime banter and car help/opinions.....facebook is great for catching up when it isnt always possible, great for keeping in touch with people you wouldnt ordinarily spend your daily lives with(eg i am mates with my Pyrenean breeder who keeps her status updated with shows which we may wish to attend)...i could go on and on

point being that it has its place, what shape is that place will depend on the user and how they have built and want to build their lives - FTW you can restrict your profile so your boss doesn't see, if your work are particulalry sensitive

It appears someone knows how to use facebook properly!

cor this turned into a bit of a discussion. I quite like facebook but wouldnt join the asn group lol. Mainly because I reserve facebook for friends, not that I dont like you chaps... but you know lol. Photo sharing is its biggest merit's, easy way ofv sharing your snaps with your mates.

Can see why some people dont like it, some people can be such gays on it. But theres a sweet button which says 'remove as friend' which is quite handy, or if you dont want to offend you can ignore their news feed.

+1 for not joining the group, i prefer to add friends than join groups for obvious reasons

Well maybe to you they're a bunch of usernames, but I've personally met a number of the guys & chatted to fair few on the phone, made some friends, so for me its allot different.

I completely agree with this. Many of you I have met, and you are all a likeable bunch regardless. ASN is more to me than just a collection of bodies, I spend most of my day on here (as do many of you). I feel like I know many of you well, despite having met only some.

We are all here because are because we WANT to be. We all share a common interest. Therefore it just works. Everyone helps everyone out, and generally it's a very friendly place to be. When there is an issue, the mod team deal with it and life carries on again as normal.

Facebook, well there is a different kettle of fish altogether - whilst it shares many of the ideals of a forum, it is a lot easier for people to abuse. 99% of the time, people are their own worst enemies to be fair. If you don't want people to be able to find you, or contact you, then you can. Problem solved.

I've been on Facebook for a number of years now, and it has brought so much additional stress into my life it's unbelievable. This ranges from unscrupulous messages being read by people that shouldn't be reading them (whoops....), to nearly getting fired because someone mentioned on there that I was off because I was ****** the night before...(whoops ++).

Yet I am still there. Why? Because it's a handy tool for keeping in touch with people, and that is what it's designed for. I can keep in touch with family around the globe very quickly and easily - it's great IMO.

If it was that useless, then it wouldn't have over 500 million registered users, and 41% of those log in every day. Thats 1/14th of the total world population - a HUGE figure. That means to me that some people must find something useful/comforting/reassuring/*insert buzz word here* in it.

As with everything, the few spoil it for the many. BUT, when is that not the case? It's the same on here. This week I have seen at least 5 SPAM messages from people trying to sell things in the middle of theads, the latest being some Iranian bell piece trying to sell tickets, or viruses, or whatever...

If you don't like Facebook, move to China would be my advice...

On here people talk about their personal life, including you, I don't really see it as any different. In fact, it's probably less relevant doing it here because mostly we're all just a bunch of usernames to each other and have never met.

To be fair, what I said about ASN being a bunch of usernames has been taken out of context.
I, more than most, sit here day in day out chatting about everything (excluding cars ) and thoroughly enjoy it.

But my point was.... some people are talking negatively about facebook and how people air their "lives" on there, but then happily come here and do pretty much the same in front of a bunch of usernames (members) or even non-usernames (guests). And let's face it, of the people that we have made friends with on ASN, it's a very very small percentage of the people that actually use/view the site.
At least with facebook there is control, and if used correctly you have the choice of who see's what you type. Here, outside of a PM, there is no control.

This.....

Yup, you're boring me too mate!

I have just watched the trailer for 127 hours, and now want to see that film!

I got bored after about post 35... but then Welly started it all up again.... and I got interested again.... then I got bored.... and now all this talk of boredom is getting even more boring.

Lets talk about something interesting like................ facebook groups?

i hate facebook ,its full of tards splaying their lifes 'goings on' - they should all be shot!!!

Shot.Definately shot.Twice to make sure.If ever there was a case for eugenics then fb is it.

gotta admit, if you were my friend and you tried to add me via F reunited, i'd be pretty harsh and tell you to feck orf - of course this would be reliant on me having an account!! :)

F reunited IMO is reserved for vicars and the people that you wouldn't want to be friends with - although i'm sure someone somewhere uses it all the time to good effect :/

Facebook annoys me so much but yet i'm still on it.
I'm on it for picture, video sharing and keeping in contact with friends and family over globe.

I've not even bothered with twitter, the idea of it ****** me off.

If people go through their facebook settings, hide all the app posts and strip out all the crap. Its not a bad tool for keeping in contact or organising activities.

Lamebook – Funny Facebook Statuses, Fails, LOLs and More – The Original This always worth a read.

In defense of twitter, it can be pretty entertaining. Some of the "celebrity" arguments that take place on there are pure gold. Especially the ones between Rio Ferdinand and Robbie Savage.... or Rio and Piers Morgan.

Its also funny when you manage to get a celeb to bite and respond to a put down that you have aimed at him/her.
I had Keith from 'The Office' (the fat mono-tone one) trying to get a bit bitchy with me because he didn't like the fact that I said all he does is eat scotched eggs :lmfao:

I've never thought of it like that.....

I like.

i forgot about the celebs on twitter hmm i might give it a crack just to wind em all up! :wicked:
