Right before I go and sell wheels, opinions please?

Currently running B6 S4's but they need off for an internal refurb (last owner just did the faces), paint or powder coat out of interest?

Still love my original rims just wish they were 18's (not my car, borrowed image)

And last but not least my rep rs4 18's...

I'm less and less keen on rep alloys all the time so the rs4's loose points, hoping to fit an rs4 b5 brake set up I bought eventually so 17's are out, found the rs4 reps to have a very shallow clearance space for brakes ie even though there et45 iirc the spokes start right from the hub face, a problem the B6's dont have...maybe i 'need' to stick with the b6's? There's maybe no choice to be made? Still have a set of duel fitment 19" rs4 reps from the s3 in the attic so there an option too if they'd fit!
Gona buy the wife an 8p quattro so would need one set for snow tyres (17's I'd guess)

Can I really have 3 sets of rims in other peoples storage spaces lol
Still dreaming of MTM bomotos an BBS CH's too!

You can get the standard 17" s4 wheels in 18" off an s8 or something. Pretty rare though.

I think 19's would look to big on the S4/B5 chassis stick with the 18's. I do like the RS4 Old style rep's in picture 3.

never been a massive fan of the b6 s4's think it's the rounded center caps that just don't quite look right.
Agreed on the std's had one on mine the other day as my spare and made me think about getting a full set, pity as you say they'r only 17's

mods are personal thing but do feel we all share a responsibility to maintain these old girls with dignity!
Didnt think of the A8 call! nice idea, rare as you say! love the originals and the rs4 reps but both look good in a 'standard' kinda way, the B6 S4's do look like an OEM mod, i bought them on a gamble and actually like them more than i thought? agreed i think the 19's are too big! thought i'd buy this 8P A3 and try and get it with RS6 5 spokes always wanted to see what they looked like too!
still need to buy 235/40 tyres for the B6 S4's as they have the 225/40's from the rs4 reps stretched. vredestein sessanta's i'd think!...
any thoughts?

Yep i like the B6 S4's too.

Check out Tyrereviews.com before you buy the vredesteins, i've had a flick thru there and they dont seem to fair all that well in the magazine group tests.

Forget the personal reviews, as you've no idea what they're comparing it to. They could have come from WanLi ditchfinders, then fitted the vreds and went "wow these are fantastic"

I fitted Vreds on my old car, they were awfull! Had to change them less than 1000 miles later as they were upsetting the esp! While they were on there road noise was high, and in the wet they were not that great. Maybe I had a set from a dodgy batch.

Not reps I don't think? I wanted OEM which is largely why I bought them but don't think there's replicas an they don't tend to go cheap

There's a set of 18" S8 Avus rims on the 'bay at the minute...

Id be tempted to swap these 19" rs6's for something different, no smaller than 17"s though.
