Due an upgrade on O2 and I quite fancy the iPhone 4 (using a 3G ATM). However, I don't fancy the £35/month, 24 month contract with a phone for £229.

Just wondering if anyone had negotiated a better deal over the phone? I'm paying £35 a month now with 600 minutes (18 mnth contract) which I'd like to continue if poss.

Just out of interest, any idea how the Blackberry Torch stacks up against the iPhone 4?

Im on orange also, £100 for phone £32.50 a month, 600 mins of calls, 1GB of data and unlimited texts.

Orange - 16gb iphone £35 pm 500 mins 750mb data ultd texts.
Phone was £99 after constant baterring this was on back in august as well!

£279 32gig phone
£44 pm Inc £14 insurance (remember to insure it ;) )
Unlimited calls, texts and Internet
18 months

I couldn't get them to shift from £199 if I wanted to keep my £35 a month tariff. so I opted for a free 3GS instead. Meh, at least my case will still fit now!

i got my upgrade back in july with orange and to stay on my tariff (£35/month, 600mins unlimited texts, 700mb internet) it only cost me £119 for the iphone 4, and i got to stay on my 18month contract!

Mines cost a 12" inch pizza and you may ask why?

The joys of going to pick up a takeaway, arriving to find myself the only one in the shop apart from staff and a lovely boxed iphone 4 not even tjurned on yet sitting there in the box, which happily sold for £450 quid.

On another note my friend recently upgraded, he managed to get an 18 month from 3. They wouldnt budge on giving him the phone for free until he mentioned he was moving from T-mobile.

I am with Tesco, only place that offered (or so i thought) a 12month contract. Three offered me one when I said I was leaving them, for the same price as tesco, however, the signal for Three is poo in my new house so couldn't stay with them.

Phone was £350, and £20 a month. Will sell it next year for £250ish and get the next one, or keep it for another year and drop the line rental even lower. I hate being stuck on 30+ line rental a month, hence why i fork out a lump sum first.

Cheeky C-Unit, I would have as well  :ninja:

Blackberries are pony compared to the iPhone.

I bought mine outright then got a £20p/m SIM only contract through vodafone through quidco and I got £100 cashback, bargain.

£100 - for a 12 month SIM only (£20 tariff)
