S3 FAULTY PCV--- Advice

After my trip to Revo HQ today, one of the issues with my 5.5k hesitation etc is down to a faulty PCV. So, my question is, do i go for the PCV revamp kit(with view to possibly upgrading to c/c system at a later date), or go for any one of the catch can systems, and which one etc etc. Bearing in mind it is Christmas time, I'm tempted to go for just the revamp. Do the ones lIsted for MK5 Golfs etc fit ok? Dubtek seem to be competitively priced

I'm getting a BSH PCV kit for 80 pound oFf regal. Does the job for on boost situatuions and easy to fit, although not a final solution

Is there just one type of BSH Stage 1 PCV revamp kit? ie will the MKV Golf one fit the S3

Im pretty sure they will fit the KO4 S3 as well 99.99%

What does the PCV do? Or what does the BSH kit do?

The PCV is basically a crank case breather which re-circulates back into the intake, and has a non return valve to prvent pressurisation when the inlet manifold in under pressure, ie when on boost. One of the weak points is this NRV which, when passes, leaks boost, and is the cause of rough running, poor idle etc

The BSH kit does away with the NRV part of the system, there are other kits, and also catch cans, which act as a seperator and allows liquids which are entrained in the vapours to drop out into a catch can and be drained off.

Sorry pal, totally forgot! Yeah rang dubtek today and they have none in stock for 3 or so weeks, so just bought one from regal mate

haha thanks for the tempting offer, but think im gonna change to an S3 SB , TTS or RS next year so don't think im gonna do a turbo conversion on the A3 anymore.

let me know how you get on gynads.. ive always wondered what tis mod actually is.. i remember when i forst joined here jonny c had his own fix! never really understood it though.. i get catch cans just not this pcv fix...
