When i was at the nurburgring, There was a guy claiming to be doing stupid quick laps in his astray van. Think he just had a tuning box.

nice van, good engine and very nippy. i had the 100bhp 1.7cdti combo and that was quick on exceleration
I had this engine in the Astra Sport Hatch and it was pretty good. They Astra(H) & Van are nice looking vehicles and depending on the model, the interior isn't too bad. Not up to Audi standards but not bad all the same.
Had mine mapped by 888 racing in Oxfordshire and takes it to around 200BHP. I have also had the tuning box which basically gives the same results but for the extra couple of hundred quid preferred the remap. However, I think some tuning boxes are claiming they have a stage 2 version offering around 215BHP. AFAIK with either remap or box you can still use the sport button.
Either way they do transform the vehicle and you get slightly better mpg too!
As the car was leased I took the tuning box off and still have it and also a simota induction kit if you are interested?

Nope it's as was bought.
It's back in the garage atm washer motor has packed up! on a 5 month old van.
