:unsure:Just had a go in a 10 plate new shape Mazda 3 MPS and i ****** loved it! Apart from being scary fast (torque steering all over the place in this weather) its fully loaded with Bose, nav, leather, bluetooth, MFSW, adaptive Xenons, basically all the audi options are standard and it cost my mate £14,500 at 6 months old with 9k on it.

my A3 is so friggin dull:tapedshut: I need some excitement:eyebrows:

There's a lot of exciting metal you can get for the price of an A3. i just wonder whether you'll still love your choice when you've stopped being a hooligan.

Go wash yourself off lol!

But seriously.. Mazda 3 looks like a cartoon car or something, with that stupid smile in the front:

Go for it :) If you can break free from the badge snobbery we all suffer here then there is some ****** nice kit for your money out there ! Mean while we will carry on smoking about in a 7 year old design wishing we had DAB, touch screen, dynamic cruise and wondering why we have to pay extra to have decent lighting, interior lighting , auto lights and wipers and a MFSW ? on a premium brand.lol. Nowt wrong with a MPS3 !

Nothing at all wrong with changing brands ive lost count lol probably about 17 brands and 30 odd cars lmao

If you like it then do it, after all we only live once

I like these, lot of bang for buck.
The only reservation I have would be getting used to 2wd again after enjoying the benefits of 4wd and 300bhp.

Go on, chop your smoker in for one!

don't forget as well that it shares it's mechanicals with a Ford

it is a Volvo engine just to clear things up have a look at the C30 polestar CONCEPT CAR an awesome piece of kit!

To be honest, after getting used to the S3, I doubt I'll ever return to FWD. At least for cars with 200-220hp+.

i'd be apprehensive too, tho that's not stopped me thinking about remapping my 2.0T FWD lol.

two moves that VAG have surprised me with recently are 1. the decision to make an A5 3.2 with FWD, and 2. to get rid of Haldex for the Scirocco R.

Just had a look and with some work they can run 300bhp no worries, thats scary through FWD to be honest I'm not sure I wouldnt kill myself with that sort of power! one of the reasons i got a derv was because i get easily carried away with my lead foot.

there is always the options of the Quaife LSD, not a cheap mod, but they do an amazing job at taming the power!! not driven with one in an audi, but ive driven a supercharged Alfa 147 GTA and it made that torrent of power so usable, no real drama with it fitted!!

in comparison the the mazda 6 MPS is 4wd!
why is the 3 not?????
before i bought my A3 i was looking at mazda 3 MPS and the only reason i went for the A3 was quattro!
if the mazda was 4wd i would be driving round in that for sure.

It's probably because they'd have to develop a brand new 4WD system. No model of Focus uses 4WD, RS included. Considering you could probably count on your fingers and toes the number of MazdaSport 3s they sell in this country there's no financial justification for developing one

I think its weird how I'm one of the ONLY A3 owners on this site, thats actually still GLAD hes got his A3 :ermm: :ninja: :Flush:

No actually, there's me too.

I'm glad i've got it, just shouldnt go test driving more interesting things as it casts doubts!

The Germans have never been too generous with extras LOL. Hows was the interior? Not too plasticy? The badge snobbery is indeed a factor. Though with me, its just French cars i'd never buy LOL.

Yeah not as good as the audi but not far off. Was a lot better than I thought it would be. Same here, german or jap for me, wouldnt touch a frenchie

I do love Audis to be fair, when I got into my cousin's 330d, it just made me realise, I chose the right badge those 3 years ago :kissmyrings:

Me too, when im sitting in it with my RNS-E, flat bottom wheel & White LED cluster, its a happy place to be :)

N8 loves his A3 :)
All you have to do is change the wheels, entire suspension, brakes , seats, stereo, steering wheel, front and rear bumper, add some skirts, a remap and a different exhaust...and your on your way to a ****** nice car...
