mate i've said that i like your car once already, although i'll say it again seeings as i've offended you.

read above - i wouldn't do the same but that doesn't mean i don't think it looks good. as Sarah's said this place would be rather dull if we all had the same ideas.

i wasn't even the one that brought it up. i've voiced an opinion in answer to other posters' questions. but i shall refrain from commenting further on the issue as i seem to have caused offence.

its also the look of shock when u beat an M3 or boxter off the line... priceless!!
yea the car is getting there, slowly and as and when funds are permitting, ive got a set of H&Rs sat in my room waiting to go on the car, but that will have to wait for the new year and the next student loan (as i refuse to use the credit card for it, cant justify that as an emergency lol), so once those are on the only other real extra for the car will be some new wheels, its just a case of working out what ones i want, got it narrowed down to 5 different sets, but those will be end of summer at the earliest before those are bought and that all depends on if i can get a summer job
hows the V6 going?
 
sub i am not attacking you, i am just abit miffed that you call my car for trying to be something its not, yet you are changing urs also.

lol, doubt you've any student loan left! Must be hard having the H & Rs sat there! You are worse then a woman, never give a bloke a choice lol, least you've got it down to 5!!!!!!!

V6 is going good thanks. Garaged at night as its soo bbrrrrr! Few plans possbile for him next year but funds depending (as always!) But he's not liking this really cold weather!

well the last one got destroyed by the mods i did to the car, but oh so worth it!!
oh you wouldnt believe!! they mock me every morning when i wake up.... tho saying that with the snow we have had am sort of glad they havent been fitted as had to go help my dad get his car out of the snow earlier and i could hear the snow scraping the front bumper as it was!!
i know im awful!! well saying that it was just the BBS CK's i wanted... but as always this damn forum has opened my eyes and made me see more then i should and now i dont know what i want!!
aww least yours has a warm bed at night mines got to battle with the elements... poor car!!
oo what have you got planned for it now?
mine is loving the cold! all that extra cold air is really making it shift... just shame its down on traction so cant make full use of it!

We've been lucky, not too much snow, but we've had more ice. Hes not liking it, hes keeping the choke on too long so running too rich so a bit lumpy.

Wanting to lower more, fit side skirts, spacers and upgrade the tuner to digital. But we will see lol! Nothing too major, not yet anyway.

Sure you will decide on alloys, no rush, you have an ace car to play with so enjoy it.
 
where i am its generally not been to bad, just some black ice, nothing that i, ESP and quattro hasnt been able to deal with, it was just up by my dads office where is was a nightmare!
ah thats not too good! mines been mega smooth, but mines been mapped so maybe thats helped?
you want it lower... havent you had it dropped already?i was playing with the idea of coilovers but thats just too much of an investment atm, the spacers are well worth the money, has fattened the car up nicely, once its been dropped the stance will be spot on
i hope so... tho the ones i really really want i think are out of my price range, so i may have to make a small compromise :(
haha i would love to have tv in the car, but i think it would end badly haha

definitely get coilovers. if on the S3 they're anything like they are on the FWD 2.0T they'll completely transform the car. i thought that was a bit cliche until i did it to mine.

what wheels are you deciding between? i know BBS CKs are on the shopping list! what else you got in mind?
 
i have just been looking at the BBS CK's, what you all think of them?

they're nice, but personally i prefer BBS CHs or OEM RS4s.

i've got BBS Pescaras on mine (the same wheels from the Golf V GTI Ed30). they're basically CHs without "MOTORSPORT" written on.
 
they are on the list, but im going to uprate the ARB's first and in a year or so the coilovers will go on (got a friend that has connections) the only reason i went with the H&Rs was it was a very very good deal and when i change i wont really loose any money so its more of a stop gap
ive got it narrowed down to BBS CK's, OEM BBS 19" split rims, VMR V710's, MTM Bimtos's and sportec mono's think my 2 favs are the sportec's & & the CKs ahhh decisions!! i really need to seem them all in the flesh so i can make up my mind

CH's/ Pescaras are awesome wheels, i just prefer the curve of the CKs (odd i know when i like the VMR's)
 
all about MTM Bimotos. that really should be no contest i think!

they are nice, the only problem i have with them is that style is standard on the A3 BE's so lacks a bit of exclusivity, still nice tho!
 
thing that puts me off the BE wheels is that they aren't symmetrical.

this is gonna sound oh-so-OCD but they spin one way on one side of the car, and the opposite way on the other side. same problem with wheels like Mercedes Alphards - they're gorgeous but i could never own a set unless i got a custom mirror image set made for one side of the car

haha!!! so know what you mean, its one of the thing that bugs me about the TT-RS breaks the vents do the same thing

also what other colour would you say goes well with black, not red or white!?
 
if you can get them done how you want, then go for it!!
personally red or white on rims for me is a no no, unless its a small amount of detailing, on black either silver, anthracite, or if you happy to make your wheels look smaller then normal, then black, when i change my rims ill be going for a gun-metal/ anthracite.... brake callipers on a black car in white tho... FTW!!

yeah, i love gun metal colour.

when i say another colour to go with black i mean all over the car. i am going to add little bits all over the car and the interior etc.

i was thinking black and the arden blue? (the blue off a Vauxhall corsa vxr)
 
yea i knwo the one you mean, thats a fantastic blue, depending how you accent it on the car it could look stunning!!
 
i think on the exterior it could be quite hard to pull off, maybe a bit ont he wheels and maybe a bit on pin striping, but you will have more freedom on the interior, maybe in the stitching, or inlays on the seats, carpets or mats?
see what takes your fancy!
 
i was thinking about doing the four rings front and rear, and on the wheels round the edge as shown below!

yea i know what you mean, a bit like the option for the RS3 with the red lip, except in blue think you should go for it!
 
well i will be looking into wheels in the new year, when it warms up abit then i will have a look and see if that is pissoble!

haha oh your brave!! my ex curbed the hell out of one of my wheels!! saying that it faired a lot better then her copper S's black wheels... they took a pounding!!
tbh i doubt you will find any, the Audi S badge, ive only ever seen in red, so chances are it would have to be a custom job to get the colour changed, but if your going to go with the VXR blue theme then it would be worth finding a place that can colour match the existing red bit to the right code to get the perfect look for the car, its little details like that, that make the difference!
