looking at getting at set of bbs lm's 18x9 wheels for the car what would these be like any rubbing etc any advice would be appreciated

i know would look stupidly high until lowered but anything else i should look out for:ninja:

:)

You just need to run stretch. So 215/35/18 and you'll have no problems. Heres my car on 19 x 9 ET41 lowered 65mm on KW V2s wearing 215/35/19s, no rubbing with 3 in the back

Talking about split rims - you must get a big split in opinion on those red wheels!!!

you need a US spec tailgate...

No I don't, they are too deep, but the recess is gettin done anyway lad, 2 steps ahead of you.

They went last year, but actually no, everybody LOVED them.

I take it that they are real LM's and are 5x114.3 as they dont come in 5x112 in a 18". If they are the ones I have said then they are ET 48 so you will more than likely need to run a spacer on the front to clear the strut.

Here is a pic of my 8x18 et 41 and 9x18 et 41 Super RS. I run 215 on the front and 225 on the rear.

Those need to be on an old BMW, not a newish A3 IMO!

just googled, they are pretty close in looks!
think either would work on an E30

Ians car pulls off those wheels, to get into the "euro style" or the "scene" you need to join edition38 forums, and certainly attend Ultimate Dubs in March 2011.

glad you're on top of it :icon_thumright:. take it you have no plans of selling up any time soon then lol

i'm surprised they didn't polarise opinion. imho i don't think the red goes with Akoya at all, but you obv loved them and that's what's important - and clearly others agreed with you anyways lol. as much as i disliked the purple before it's grown on me quite a lot. what does it look like on silver Fat 5s?

hmm that look is just not really my thing... i'm too much of an OEM+ boy.

i saw a Tornado Red Jetta V on colour coded BBS Impuls tho and that looked pretty good

ive got 19 x 9 on mine with a 50mm offset, 235/35/19 do catch on the back dropping off speed bumps and sometimes mid corner but my car is lowered by 25mm. Ive been told 225/35/19 are ok and wont catch

At first people were shocked, but when people like my mother think they look good, then you know its full of win  The red worked as its the contrast. The purple works as there is purple in the paint :eyebrows: Car looks GAY on Fat 5s:
