Didn't notice the tabs at all! Not long discoverd there is drifting aswel :happy:

I haven't done any drifts myself but IIRC theres a drift option in Arcade, not sure if theres on in 'Story mode'

Yeah there is a drift option in arcade i havn't tried it yet either i think it will be in story mode but im not at a high enough level to see it yet. I tried the karts last night and won :) they are hard to recover if you lose control though i tried the vw camper race and got 2nd on the first go and all other tries i kept getting disqualified as the van behind kept ramming me into the cones :banghead:.

Just admit it, you love getting rammed from behind

I did a European Hatchback challenge the other night, and it let me use my Lambo Gallardo! :laugh: I won....by a fair way

Just bought myself a Noggy blue S3 :)

Can't help but feel now that I've been stitched up with my own car, apparently the S3 is a twin Turbo according to the little demo on the game, and I know my real life one isn't :(

I never knew the gallardo is a hatchback :laugh: i entered the supercar race with a tuned up 106 rallye it killed them on the corners but they got there own back on the straights :laugh: i took some pics for a laugh.

Yeah the graphics are but they look better than in those pics as im crap at using the in game camera lol. I will also say the 106 is a standard car and the rest are premium the 2 slrs are anyway and the standard cars dont look as bad as some people are saying in reviews and such.
 
The pic taking feature is really cool, got some epic pics

Only thing i don't like about the graphics are the spikey shadows....
 
Yeah the shadows are a problem hopefully an update will sort it out. How about a GT5 car pics thread as there is one for forza 3 do you think its a good idea?

It's epic! proper useful for the tuned car championship, theres an s2000 thats blindingly quick, you could easily spend alot of money tuning a car and not getting close! I won a stage 2 HPA r32 thats pretty awesome.

Question: what suspension settings do people like for high power FR cars, Ive got a mental e-type jag C. 400 brake and stage two weight loss and I just cant get the power down properly no matter how I try and feather the throttle in it just spins up, even when I take it down to 350 brake.
 
Hahaha the same thing happens in the R10 first and second are near impossible to control! I find with R2 as acc you can just gently throttle easier than the X button.
 
That golf R32 was awesome in the last game too, haven't got that yet...

As for the Jag, mines running 326 bhp which was ample to win the races I put it in, no problems with grip, actually quite liked the car for an olden ...

With you on that one, R2 is waaayyy easier. I was using the e-type in the lightweight british challenges and the first race in london is so tight its just smoke and hideous understeer or awesome over steer that looks cool but doesn't help win golds lol

I may decrease the power even more then
 
Got myself the S3, spent stupid amounts on it doing all that can be done

Gutted u cant change from the standard wheels tho
 
Finally got the game, only played for a bit tho, may go on now actually!!

I was gutted too, wanted to put some Rstt's on it.

Wasn't overly impressed once I tuned my S3 up, however I put it round 'Deep Forest' on a free run and managed to go round quicker than my E46 M3 with similar power :) lol
 
I've so far used my S3 for all the rally stages winning all !!
 
Finaly got the 8L S3! Big anti climax! So to cheer myself up i bought a Ferrari 458, awsome car.
 
Another bonkers car I've come across and probably my fave is a Dodge Viper SRT 08 I think it is, goes like stink and sounds awesome !!

Used it for all my big boy races...

I saw the veyron in the used car show room last night at 2mil and i have also won the lupo i just need to unlock the tgtt now and i really cba doing that race what a ball ache.
 
i'll not be back on GT5 for a while :'( I know it only just came out and I'm raging! but I left for Canada yesterday here today :) haha but my main GT5 account is on my ps3 at home, I was thinking of getting one for out here as I'll be here for a while! I'll keep you's upto date ;)

I just won the lupo too, and also need to unlock the TGTT if I can be *****, that race is just awful!

What's the hardest race people have come across so far ??

Mine has got to be the TTGT with that poxy Lotus Elise 111R, crap car, was brilliant in the games before, this time it just seems to be all over the place !! :(

The TGTT Lotus race was a bit anoying! Kept crashing into other cars and having to start again! Lol!

I find the licences more stressful :banghead: alough i cannot get gold on a couple of the Merc specials!!
 
I scrapped the idea of even wanting silver on some of the licences, bronze will do fine lol as long as I get my ticket, I might return to them at a later date though !

Lotus is a dream handler!!! Just gotta be careful not to overcook the brakes into that 1st corner....oversteeeer!!!
