HiD kits. 4700k or 6000k?!

i recently purchased both clear headlights from a 2007 A4 to replace the "fried egg" look of my current 2005 headlights. now when i am going to replace them, i want to install some HiD lights aswell.

question is, which rating do i go for?! i purchased a 6000k kit for my integra type r and it looked great. i was going to get the same kit for my audi but the supplier stated that as the integra lights were projector, and the audi lights are reflector, then 6000k will look very blueish in the audi and recommends i go for 4700k.

does anyone have experience with this?! i currently have very white number plate bulbs and would like to have similar colour in my headlights. in the integra the 6000k colour was exaclty what i am looking for now, but if my reflector headlights are going to make them look too blue then i wont get them.

i want a very white light. 4700k or 6000k???????

just to confirm, my September 2005 A4 S Line has reflector headlights dosent it?! or does it have projector?!

if it does have reflector lights, why is this mod a no no?! why are a lot of people fitting HiD kits to A4's without a problem then?! what is the issue?

Because, when you have HID's in reflectors they don't beam straight out like with projectors, but reflect the light which then beams out, blinding the whole world.

Or so it used to be, now days you can buy H7R's rather than just H7's which means the top half of the beam isn't reflected somehow and so doesen't have that dazzling affect.

I've got them in reflectors and have NEVER been flashed. Not uphill, not downhill or during any driving.

by the way, you'll have relflectors if you have normal halogen lights at the moment.

legally it's still a no no, as to comply with regulations you need auto beam level adjustment and a headlight washing system in order to comply. It's possible to retrofit the proper Audi kit in order to comply but gets expensive. Fogs are fine as HIDs however, as they aren't normal driving lights and aren't subject to the same regulations, they fall under the same bracket as the additional lights seen on off roaders and so on.
