I'm looking to get the allroad serviced as it is now due. I called an independent Audi specialist by me & they quoted £120 for an oil service & £220 for the larger service. Also £93 labour to change the discs & pads if I supply the parts.

Does this pricing sound about right? I thought £120 sounded quite a lot for an oil service but been a long time since I used a garage to service my car. Last time was about 8 years a go for my 4 year old Lexus GS300 which was only £90 at the main dealer.

mate there is a lot of talk on here about this subject and everyone is of the same opinion. audi are robbing ********. if you cant do it yourself you should take it to a good independant garage and get it done for half the price..

Those prices are from a local independent garage, that's why I thought they were quite expensive. If they were from an Audi dealership then that's what I would expect. I don't want to do it myself as it has FSH & I want to keep that up, hence the reason for taking it to a garage to get the book stamped. On any cars I have that don't have service history I normally do it myself.

yeah i know what your saying about fsh and those prices from that independent Audi specialist are just too much. there are plenty of places that do it cheaper you just have to find them.

I thought they sounded quite expensive for an independent garage. I would have liked to have used an independent Audi specialist but at those prices I might as well use the main dealer. I'm going to ring around some more local garages & get some quotes today. I may have to do the brakes myself, it's just I don't fancy doing it out in the cold & it will be really cold in a few weeks time. At the moment I'm breaking a Range Rover on the drive so don't have the space or time for a few weeks.

im sure mine costs about 60 for interim and 90 for full at VW/Audi Specialist!

depends what fluids they use - when i did my own oil change it cost £65 for 5.5l of castrol edge and a filter and that was on sale at opie oils, it's not cheap
