Spoke to my dealer yesterday..and yes I am ready for the flaming.

He told me it is coming. Spring/summer.

For me, I find it absolutely pointless building an RS3 now on an old chassis, what a waste of time, money when the new A3 is not far behind it, we hope or will they stretch for another facelift 8P, please for the love of 8P sanity, nooooooooooooooo not another.
 
Im waiting for the new platform S3.
Or get an EVO X in the meantime as per previous posts.
I would like to see the RS3 announced soon if for no other reason than to end all of the speculation once and for all.

This thread has gotten me a few weird looks from my fellow coffee seekers in starbucks! :D I've lmao @ a few of the gags, think a couple of you are missing your calling in life.

PaulAr, I was looking at the scooby hatch & evo, was gonna do the scooby sti hatch till summer then read all the reviews about engines going bang and got rather ****** as STi is priced fairly well.

Definitely the most bizarre car release if it does make an appearance.... think I'll be getting a S3 SB and adding the changes if it does turn up :eyebrows:

TBH Paul, the sequel had me in with a psychologist was so depressing.

& I blame Jamiekip for all this RS3 nonsense.

I'm taking deposits too of 5K, by the time its out I'll have invested all the money and have a return on it before I give the customers their money back saying sorry, you werent good looking enough for Audi to let you have one LOL
 
I still don't believe it, it's a hoax... ;)

Not a bad standard spec, buckets still optional, but to be expected I suppose. Lets see how much they charge for one of these, and hope it doesn't FAIL like the RS5 does so badly in the press.
 
2 things in that post makes me suspicious, first delivery dates, it seems odd that they are making deliveries early 2011, considering the usual 4-6 months wait on an order, that is way past then, as we cannot even order yet, so still think it be more 3rd quarter 2011, and second, the exhausts in the photos, I am sure I was told by the Audi Service Manager it had oval pipes each side of the car.
 
Interesting spec - 2.5TFSI - S-tronic only - Sportback only.
