Should all S-lines have come with a spoiler or would it have been possible to select without a spoiler. I've a 2006 S-Line Quattro without, which is strange considering the extras the car was specified with when new. Just interested really.

My 2005 S-Line never came with one, I retrofitted it.

the 8P1 S-Line apparently didn't necessarily come with one

the first 8P2 S-Lines didn't have the S-Line bodykit, just the spoiler - but as far as i'm aware they ALL had spoilers

my car is a 2006 and has a full bodykit and spoiler. are you sure the tailgate hasn't been replaced?

Thats what i was thinking Sub. Also my cousin old car 55reg S-line A3 2.0tdi Q had the sports front and rear bumper but had an spoiler and RS6 alloys and all the other little s-line bits

so -55 must be the cut off. mine's a 55 and has the whole shabang...

Mines a 55 reg with the "sport" bumpers also.

I bought it from a lease hire company so I would have thought any kind of damage would have been documented, everything else certainly was.

then i guess the only question left to ask is - are you sure it's an S-Line?

It's 100% an S-line, even the V5 Document says so, I can't imagine many owners doing a full s-line conversion on a lease hire car to be honest. Besides which I also own a 2004 Sport version so the differences are fairly obvious, lol.

It's not exactly anything special so I've not felt the need to take a photo of it as of yet. I will take one when I get back in from work.

I'm not sure what the photo is/isnt going to show.

It's got s-line badges in the rub strip and front grille, s-line sill covers, bose sub/amp/speakers, black headliner, embossed leather seats, brushed alu trim plus all the other bits you would expect an s-line to come with.

if the car is a lease car and has had any damage it would not be documented as it would of been done through the insurance, i bought a lease car and it had the whole front end replaced i was only able to find this out as the car was recorded as stolen still so i had to contact the old insurance company and they told me everything that happened to the car.

then the only explanation is that for some reason it's had the boot replaced.

it should definitely have the spoiler.

PS BOSE isn't standard equipment on S-Lines.

i think "s-line" officially got release in 2006 and only then and after the sline bumpers were out on the cars but up until then they were called sports and had all the s-line kit except the bumpers ... daft really i got a 2005 (55 reg) and have everything but bumpers but i have some ordered :)

mines a '55' TDi S-Line Quattro and the 1st owner had the spoiler fitted by Audi when it was 6 months old.

Sounds like there is a possibility it never had one.

The 55/06 change over period seems to have spawned all kinds of random creations.

at least fitting one isn't that difficult... get on it dude!

i agree cyrix there are all sorts of add ons with the 55 - 06 change :S
