Xenon/LED Headlight Help

MY11 Sport has the optional Xenon/LED headlights but I have just noticed allot of condensation in both lights is this normal? It also appears in both fog lights even when they are off?

In the handbook it says it is normal for this to happen, but if it is a lot then I am not so sure. I have had this on a lot of cars previously, and usually it comes and goes and does not affect the lights at all.

Cheers mate makes me feel a little better was a pretty wet day today so this could explain why it was more than normal.

your lights are like that because they are leaking as in they are not air tight and you are getting condensation. i have the back of my headlights off and they never steam up now. i have posted this before and got mixed reviews but i believe in what i can see and it works for my lights.

Same for me - looks to be a problem but isn't and just comes and goes at random !

mine did it all the time untill i took the backs off.. 1 back off each light..

Can't do that with fogs though ?!!!!

i took my fogs out and drilled 2 small holes on the underneath of them ..

Must have been bad for you to do that !

Only happens on a few occasions for me so wouldn't like to drill holes in them just for the odd time.

my fogs were like that all the time and my headlights sometimes. like i say some people disagree but action speaks louder than words and my lights are fine now..

they are all supposed to be air tight. it doesnt happen to all cars so its not normal..

Most A3's have got it sorted now. If it happens it's not often and doesn't last long.

thers nothing worse than having the car washed and polished then you look at your fogged up lights. it drives me nuts lol..
