well... its been 900 miles since i had my new turbo, s3 intercooler, new rods, milltek downpipe to go with the cat back so i have the full system now and cambelt in my car since my turbo blew and decided to take the intercooler with it and also the engine hydrolocked which bent the rod. . cost me a fortune to repair and had the work done at awesome gti by jim and the other techs :applaus: who rebuilt the engine and if i heard him right he replaced it from one out of the rs6 engine he has spare.

getting the car back was a relief to say the least and i was scared to turn the key in the ignition never mind drive the thing. anyway i started her up and the car felt so much smoother on idle straight away. the roughness had gone away and the car took on a much deeper tone. drove the car home and it just felt amazing. the downpipe makes such a hugeeeee difference to the feel of the car, turbo does spool up much earlier and the noise is actually phenomenal. in my opinion it sounds better than a standard s3. it roars when on boost and humms when just cruizing on the motorway, really is amazing. after taking it easy for the first 900 miles i was told i was able to give it some stick. the car sounds completeley different with the new turbo on. (dean and jim had it delivered directly from garrett and they said it is a stronger and better turbo in general and has a completeley different shell to the standard oem one) went back 2 days ago to get the remap put back on however jim said he had left it on :scared2:! i didnt notice as i didnt dare put my foot down.

coming home from awesome i decided to give it a boot when fully warmed up. holy cow it is a rocket machine. i cant believe there is that much power there and the wooshing sound from the turbo with the roar of the milltek is belting. it is a completeley different animal. i was tiold i have to give it some stick on the motorway and keep it in the high revs to burn out the oil dumped in the exhaust from the old turbo as there is so much smoke! it chokes all the cyclists.:ninja:

had a golf gti at the side of me at the lights today so i put my foot down thinking he was gna toast me and i absolutley batterd it... i love dsg:yum: lol

anyone in the manchester area who is thinking of getting the milltek on their diesel is welcome to have a listen... but u will definiteley want one after hearing it!

Sounds awsome mate. What sort of power are you making with those engine mods? Any chance of getting a sound clip up on the exhaust ?

yeah really is a different car, dosent sound anything like a diesel and the noise is amazing. im going to try and post a video up if i can get my hands on a decent videocamera however it may not sound the same as in the car. i love going past walls and tunnels. that is when you really do hear it and i had a friend drive it today, its just something else.
the turbo sounds completeley different from the stock one. its more of a wooshing together with the milltek i dno if it has anything to do with the s3 intercooler keeping the boost temps down condensing the air better for better boost? the downpipe has made a tremendous difference in turbo spool and noise as the boost seems to be there from 1000 revs.

ermm well i absolutley batterd a golf gti after 2nd gear from a standing start so it must be somewhere near the 200bhp mark im guessing. its the torque thats frightening tbh. it really is a quick car now, and a loud one but not overley loud.
just wondeing if there is anything else i can do to make the smoke dissappear faster :(

Now imagine what it would sound amd drive like with a bigger turbo and an itg induction kit :p aw and torque wise last dyno figure was little more than 460nm! Had some more tweaks after that so it due for another rr run soon

navnayyar, if i think my car is rediculous, i cant imagine what yours is like with the hybrid...oh my days lol must be rediculous haha. u could turn the earth with 460nm! outrageous. mmmm i do want an induction kit....:(... now go and get urself an s3 intercooler :p haha

Thanks akash, yes ian i have the ths fmic ypu want to see the silicone hoses for it, much better than the s3 cooler. Am glad your liking the power, and now have reasons to mod further. Devonboymikey has done more than me also, think he's touching 280-290bhp! Thats what im saving for next big injectors :p
