hi one of my injectors has petrol around the out side of it does this mean i need new ones tar

More than likely a bad injector seal. The seals just need replacing and you might as well do all 4 if one is bad.

Found the same on my a3 the other day. Dificult job to do or best left to the pro's?

thanks so injectors will be ok then and just get new seals for all 4 of them do ebay do them tar

Search on ebay for the seller injector man i got mine from him and they were less than a tenner with postage id message him with what car youve got so he sends you the right ones. I did mine myself but i used to be in the motor trade but it wont be the easiest job if your not used to working on cars.

As for your running issue on your other thread id get the injector seals done and if its due a service anyway get that done and a scan with vag com to see if theres anything else wrong. A bad injector seal would cause a misfire as that cylinder wont be getting the right amount of fuel could be the cause of the lumpy running.

2 bolts to remove the fuel rail from the manifold. The injectors come up with the rail. O rings slide on and off. Should be no problem.

Clean the injector seats whilst the injectors are out.

Bengal my thoughts exactly!! Looks like a job for the weekend.

You will be ok im just reluctant to tell people to diy as i actually know a lot of people who cant even change a wheel no joke. But that said as long as you feel confident it wont be hard to do at all. Its just like welly said.

Well I can defo change a wheel! Haha. Just ordered them, should help some of my running problems

Good stuff these cars can be a pain it seems like i fix one thing then another one breaks but not the worst iv had by far though.

Ooh yes!! Definatley!! But in all fairness when I'm in it.... All the bad stuff goes away. Haha until something else breaks!!
