well got the big tyres off the fat fives & got new 215/35s fitted ready to fit on the avant,
trip to the tyre shop...

we had a problem... couldn't find the locking wheel nut key so nipped back to the house to look, was sure i'd left it in the car! wasn't until i got home with the wheels in the boot i remembered where it was, in the box with the coilovers!

Not updated this for a while, car is booked in at dougie's to get coilovers fitted on Thursday, so in preparation I've stuck my fives on (these are being painted soon, just thought I'd chuck them on for now)

Also picked up my order from Vw for a fee bits

RS4 Engine trays/covers to tidy up the bay

New washer bottle as old one is a little dirty

RS4 rear arb

Fitting kits

And my favourite... US boot lid

215/40s on there mate(on the gunmetal ones) feel absolutely great. Use to silly skinny tyres on the old golfs etc though It was 215/35s in the last set of pics but sold them

Rear wiper annoys me James! Why don't they remember the home position? Will be de wipered when I fit my us boot lid.

Looking for some 19" wheels so might sell the fat 5s or might keep them

Rear wiper annoys me James! Why don't they remember the home position?

They should remember there home position there should be a live that returns them back maybe the copper contacts in the motor need cleaning, is the wiper slow you may have a water leak in the motor for what it takes i would take a look incase there is a problem you dont want it to get worse.

Just been out to fit the new xenons, removed the original lights, went and got the news out the garage... And they don't fit!

Off a ****** cab, bought them as s4 saloon ones!

Anyone with a a4cab want some good as new xenons?

Simon - Car drives perfect, same if not better than the standard sport suspension, really impressed with the coilovers. I'm thinking of getting the driveway done so that would help however this isn't the first car to be beached down the bottom of the drive.

jbcalvin - Thanks, I'll probably just keep anything I replace so i can put back to standard if need be.

Coilovers are FK, can't remember the model name off the top of my head, height and damper adjustable though, managed to pick them up off ebay from someone that lives only 20miles from me

Na I've still got the Bora (E3 APC) and my mk2 gl, but fancied an audi for a while. Seen a nice S3 but this 190 s-line avant has really taken my eye.
