I've not been on for a while, mainly because my house has been in bits so been concentrating on getting that all decorated etc...yawn!.

The cars got a few issues which are going to be put right in a few weeks..mainly

1. Refit standard wheels with 4 x new tyres. The 18's look cool but I'm fed up of the crappy ride on our rubbish roads. Plus with the 16's on the cars nice and low and does drive better too so I'm looking forward to getting rid of the 18's with the 'ditch finder' tyres on them. Had a few scarey moments lately with them so they've got to go!. Getting 4 x Uniroyal Rainexpert 2's fitted as they seem to get great reviews and also the price is right ;)

2. New ball joints and drop links. got a clunk at the front when going over bumps...driving me mad so they're all getting changed so its all as it should be.

3. My coolant light is on when I start the car, the cars got plenty of water in it and its all working as it should but I think the sensors goosed in the bottle so I'll change the whole lot to get rid of the annoying beep!

4. My headunit fault with the volume knobs got really bad now...so the headunits coming out to be replaced :)

Thats about it apart from taxing the ****** thing tomorrow!.

Still, once those few things are sorted it'll be spot on and shouldnt have to do anything to it for a while. got some overtime coming my way so I might finally get a 3" downpipe and sports cat after crimbo and see how that goes.

Cars had a good clean today too...first time in about 2 months...it was minging!. Nice to see it looking silver for a change!

Nice to see your back mate, has been a little bit quite without you and tim (animal) haha.

Glad to see the cars going to be getting some loving, haha.

I forgot to add new brake discs to the list too!.

Where's Tim?

Think he's lost interest in us lot, haha.

Hey hey Stranger!!!

Tom!!! welcome back doood!! missed ya!! :)

as per above, rear bushes will make a huge difference, get a new water bottle for the light for £13 from stoke Audi (look loads better too as old ones are always a nasty yellow) - rest is as

I've been 'a lurking' young man....just not as much as usual, spending half my working week travelling to Essex/Norwich in ****** aweful hire cars (octavias, Insignias :( ) the rest of the time catching up on sleep from my newely aquired (2 months) noisy neighbours!! - who have just had an abatement order served hehe

Welcome back mate, a new coolant bottle is about a tenner from TPS (and comes in white, your's has probably turned a nice shade of yellow by now). Don't bother getting a GSF replacement, they have never lasted on any of my cars for longer than 18 months.

Noted about the bottle, I'll pick one up from TPS or somewhere. To be fair the one on there's still clean...its just the sensor thats ********!.

Changed the pollen filter earlier on as I've had one in the garage for ages which I've been meaning to fit. ****** hell the old one was rancid. FULL of crud and black, its a wonder that any air was getting through to be honest. Plus it smelt 'funky' so I'm glad thats gone in the bin. New wiper blades too, ditched the cheapo aero ones which to be fair have lasted over 18 months and stuck some Bosch jobbies on.

All the expensive stuffs happened in a few weeks.

Orr mate, you can't hear them at it can you? :lmfao:

Took my 16's down yesterday to get the new tyres fitted. Tyre fitter noticed that inside the lip of the rim where the bead sits is corroded :(. Still he's refurbed the inside of the wheel (imagine the bit you dont see when the tyres on) and will repaint before fitting the new boots.

Pick them up in a couple of hours...refurb cost is "I'll do it for free mate"...happy days :) They have a new machine that spins the wheel up with a wire brush type thing that cleans up the rim...I think he wants to try it out :)

So 18's are coming off for a while, might get them refurbed and keep them for any shows etc.

Its lovely and smooth mate, really really nice to drive now so they're staying on! It looks much lower as well :)
