Changed the xenon bulbs and In pretty sure they're not self levelling. How can I correct this?

The motors are known to go wonky or you could just need adjusting and resetting...

There is a how to somewhere in the 8L section explaining how to remove the motors and 'clean' them hopefully sorting a potential prob but if you download this pdf it has a section on realigning and resetting the xenons on page 30..

Thanks mate. Although i dont have a VAG.COM to sort it. :(

Should i take it to a dealer? DO you think they'll charge?

I've unplugged mine and many many others have too. As long as they are setup by an MOT station and levelled i'm sure it'll be ok. Mine got through an MOT with the motors unplugged.

For the record you will need the basic version of VCDS (formerly VAG COM) for this, not just the free version. The free version allows you to do the first couple of points but won't let you set and learn the new positions. I've now thrown a code (035 or something), so I need to get on and purchase a VCDS activation code for $99.

Well hurry up and do it, if it works with a ebay cable then i can do it too :) haha.

The plug is located on the inner side (nearest the grille) of each light housing. Toward the top if I remember correctly.

Have you tried adjusting them with the white screw above the lights in the engine bay, you will need an allen key for it, this happened on mine, and I think they just go stuck, once I did it, they were ok after that....

Might be a quick and easy...not to mention cheap fix.
