Ford on par with Audi?!

Could I just say that people should go and look at Focus RS Owners Club (or any other owners club for that matter) and check out their opinions because thats exactly what you will find - peoples opinion.
There is no right or wrong just peoples perception of what they believe, I know loads of people who say that I was mad to spend £30K on a performance car but then again I also know a few people who would say that my car is a glorified A3 (they don't consider an A3 to be premium, posh or anything special). In fact to quote one friend I own an expensive Skoda but I made my choice based on what I wanted.
I am not a Ford or an Audi fanboy, I just love nice cars.

Hey Jord, does the Mondeo have a good sized boot?? You will need it once your missus gets you on decorating duties and gardening! Believe me, your chores list will soar!!!! Least it will earn you some brownie points!!!

Boot is the biggest thing i have ever seen!!! It's probably about half of the actual car

And buying a place that's already done and needs no work is the plan!!

3rd of the price! with all due respect a ford is a ford, bad build quality ,cabin is cheap hard plastic,re-sale values not good (3rd of price) 2 years and it will start to rot underneath there just crap and im sure alot on here will agree a ford will never ever match or even come near to audi. You need serious help (LOL) Theyve got no style ! a lad i know bought a focus rs brandnew and kept it for 5 weeks and said it were crap,he lost out on it,he now drive a new skoda vrs and sayshe loves it! ford dont even match skoda,oh and the lad iknow works for audi crewe.

Good for you

All i'm saying is that i have a car which does the job as good as the Audi, impresses me as much as the Audi does and even has some things that are better than the Audi, yet i've saved myself 10k

Now kindly go **** yourself :)

Here we go again...my mate my mate my mate.....do you believe everything he tells you ?? wouldnt you rather find out for yourself like Smudge ?

I really like my Audi but ******** if i would put it on a pedestal and worship it !! Its a car, it breaks down, it comes from the worst dealer network i have ever come across !! It takes 6 months to order another one , Its average at handling, steering and its a 8 year old design and looks it as well.....and it cost £35k (by the time you add the std parts you get on a ford anyway)....for what is actually just a small hatchback. It might be better than a Ford but then so it ****** should be !! Just what a "mates" experience with a focus has to do with smudge and his Mondeo beats me ...lol..
Incidentally i think the R8 is crap because my mate had A2 and it got a puncture within 2 weeks of being new.....and the warranty didn’t even cover it...

Well said Sir.

say what you like about the car. the driver's a good 'un.

cheers again for the coilies!

The hire was a MY10 Astra 1.8SRi and its been the longest 16 weeks wait of my life!! The ride is ok and it handles ok to, you always feel in control but the sport button is pointless and it just revs a little higher from what I can feel, but sport?? Not really.

Just to clarify a point here:
The "sport" buttons on nearly every make of car relate purely to the transmission and will only be found on automatic transmission (or some CVT) cars. All it does is remap the transmission and make the engine "rev a little higher" in each gear - on full throttle, that would be the redline!
The exception to this is some exotic sports cars (such a Ferrari) and, of course, the "M" button!!

Cheers

To bring the thread onto a random topic...Brownie Points are a complete myth! I have earned a sh*t load (yes pun intended) over the years and when i come to cash them in, I get told that the redemption value is sod all! And one little mistake loses them all anyway, ha

Back on topic, hope the Mondeo is good t you mate. When my A4 was pranged i seriously considered a mondeo, just couldn't find one I liked. The A4 was fixed under insurance anyway too so didn't have to worry. Great cars though. Hope the house is going well.

Damn straight.
I dont buy all this modern man ********.

Too right, you don't need brownie points if you have a damn fine pair of man conkers my friend!!

Ahhhaaa, i like the idea of giving brownie points out, i'm gonna try it!

And sarah, if she played conkers with them it would be more than she does now, so i'm all up for it...maybe one day they'll be a 23'er.
