Ah you have a B8,sorry I missed that part.

Ok thanks. I think I did post there before but no one responded :)

Sorry mate but B8 is fairly new tbh & alot come well spec'd so not modded as much on the technology side.

Sorry - yes that's the one (I've just had an offer of £190 all in, accepted).

Don't want to buy until I know someone who can fit it though.

Thanks,

Good price, can't help you with fitting 1wheelonly fitted mine, i sure someone in your area will be along soon, or a local audio installer will do it, what head unit have you got.

Hi Folks

Sorry about hijacking this thread. Looking for some advice. I bought one of these the other week and am having issues with it . I installed it in a 07 A4 S-Line 2.0 TDI with Concert II Radio . I bought one of the BT systems advertised in this thread (Audi OEM Kit)

On install, the Speak button on the steering wheel worked and we could place calls straight away but it would not pull any contacts from my address book . Also the Mode button is not doing anything. It previously said NO FUNCTION when pressed but now, nothing .

I brought the car to a car audio shop and they hooked up via VCDS and tried to query the telephone module (#77) it comes back Not Available .

Any ideas ? The guy in the shop was not familiar with the kit but as far as he is aware he was going into the correct module settings page ..

Cheers in advance
Martin

Did you connect the Kline wires as iirc the B6/7 arent canbus, this would be the comms issue I reckon, then once you can connect, you can code it correctly so other functions work, although the best head unit to use with the BT setup is definitely the RNS-E as it will display a hell of alot more info.

Hi , thanks for the response.

I will need to check this in the morning , also I just checked and my A4 is the 8E model , just had a look at the chassis number . Will that make a difference ?

First of all sorry for the hijack. Please move the thread if you feel it warrants it.

I have just bought an used A3 Sportback black edition from an Audi Dealership. Part of the deal I struck with the dealership was to have an Audi Bluetooth kit installed. Audi arranged for a third party installer to fit this today at my work as they didn't have time to do it before I collected the car (a week wasn't long enough apparantly). The installer fitted a Fiscon kit despite me asking if it was definately a proper OEM kit. Unfortunately I didn't find this out until I came back out of work when he called me to say he'd finished.

Now to begin with I was a bit annoyed that after stressing several times to both Audi when I was buying the car and the installer when he arrived that I wanted the OEM kit I've had the FISCON kit installed. I was more annoyed that when I scroll through my contacts I get multiple entries per contact in the DIS - one for each of the phone numbers they have. However there is no way of telling which number is which. Can anyone confirm you can tell which number you are about to call? i.e. if I have a contact John Smith with home number, mobile, work, fax I can call John Smith - Mobile. At the moment I just get 4 John Smiths in the DIS! Please tell me the Audi kit is a bit smarter than this!!!

The final straw was on driving home tonight from work. I now have a whistle related to engine speed when the radio is on (even on but muted). It's not really loud but it's there and annoys me. One of the reasons I chose the car was as it had BOSE. Now I have a crystal clear whine through lots of speakers. It didn't do it before, any chance that if I swap the FISCON for the Audi OEM kit my problems will all be fixed?

Thanks for reading my rant!

Sorry to hear you're having issues. How far have you got. I assume you've bought the unit and fitted it but it's not working?

I've moved my post above to the A3 forum but will keep checking both.

Thanks,

The Audi one is better than that mate

I have FISCON with bose and have none of the issues. Sounds like your installer has made a balls up with the install.

kaedo....
What phone are you using with the kit regards the multi number issue. My Iphone 3gs on OS4.1 doesn't have this issue.

Hi, it's a Blackberry Curve 8520 on Orange. It's a work phone and syncs with all the contacts in Outlook including shared contacts (everyone in the business).

Thanks,

Long story short, i had an audi oem bluetooth unit installed by another member off here worked perfect for a week then i started to have issues after alot of scratching heads it was diagnosed as a faulty unit.

Contacted the seller in poland who said send it back, six weeks later they said it never arrived dont know if they are telling the truth or not.

Royal mail international signed for delivery with insurance is not worth the paper it written on , got trading standards involved now , nightmare .

So out of pocked and no bluetooth to say i'm pi**ed of is an understatement .

I think your is bad fitting so i would get them back , hope you get it sorted soon .

I fitted the "Q" i.e. 2007, version of the OEM Bluetooth (BT) module to my B6 with my RNS-e Head unit. It worked brilliantly with my "old" Nokia Phones. Last March (2010) I upgraded to a Nokia X6.....although I can pair the X6 phone to my Audi BT, I cannot upload the address book.......all Nokia could advise is that I need to change my Audi BT module for a newer one - yeah right at £250 do they think I came down with the last shower of rain....

My tip is get a Parrott BT which can be very easily upgraded via internet & your PC - all for around £120

Where abouts are you based please NHN?

Hope you don't mind me posting here, but does anyone have experience of a Dension Gateway 5, which apparently does Bluetooth and iPod integration? I have a Concert II. Thanks
