i have managed to do most of it
just the last bit were i am about to pull of the wiper arm etc
it seems stuck, ceased up as itbeen there for years, tried wd40 still no luck?

am i doing something wrong?

thanks

no mate they are pretty tough, especially when the little nut has started to rust! just keep the WD40 coming and work at it! Short of cutting the wiper arm off theres nothing more you can do but to work at it

as said, WD40, and work it forward and back. I was lucky, mine came of fairly easy. You can also get pullers that help pull them off.

mine was the opposite, complete nightmare lol took a few hours iirc haha

Paddy is right. Why on earth would you consider removing a rear wiper. There are great mods available that increase our enjoyment and improve the performance without compromising safety and vison. Let's get real and concentrate upon those mods that improve the vehicle. Driving today on our crowded and dangerous roads requires concentration and top-class vision 360 degrees at all times. End of rant.:scared2:

I must admit, I never use my rear wiper :p

The rear end does look a lot nicer without the wiper I must admit, up to the op to decide if it is worth it or not.

lol @ the rear wiper lovers....must really limit the cars you can buy??

Just one question....WHY ?

i'm with you on this, but even if i wanted this mod i wouldn't be satisfied with having a bung where the wiper was. unless i got a custom made piece of glass without the hole and tint for the rear wiper only then i could live with it. but personally i don't really see the point. why remove a convenience from the car?

It's a lot easier if you got the correct tool. Würth's got a tool like that: Art. Nr: 1696 454 150

I used about an hour, a lot og WD40 and a endlink-removing tool.

haha @ the haters  But back to the thread finally someone to help this guy out

I must remember that next time i am pulled up because i didnt see the copper behind...Sorry officer but the rear wiper is a womens tool so i will happily except my fixed penalty thanks, I am but a stupid man .

My car's got sidemirrors on each side, so no problem! :)

I am sure you will take them off before long.............got to look cool :)

Look at the state of that window !! you wanna get a wiper fitted !

haha, i like it de wipered. as the a3 wiper is ugly as hell, to big and out of place in my opinion anyway

and i drive a van with no rear view so i rarely use my rear window, and never use the wiper lol

thanks for advice, took ****** ages to get off, half a can of wd40 and a flat headed screwdriver did the trick ha

Does this extend to front wipers, headlights and door mirrors ?

You could also add steering wheels in that list :) I've heard that some people have changed their steering wheel in the car cos it looks nicer, knowing full well it wont work when needed. That is far more dangerous than no rear wiper

I must remember that next time i have an accident and speak to the copper ...Sorry officer but the airbag is a womens tool so i will happily except my mashed up face and upper body, I am but a stupid man .

No offence meant fella ,just thought it was worth pointing out :lmfao:

Christer, your car is looking good fella.! De wipered rear looks

Scottie..You are a ******, doctoring other people posts is not clever, its ******* stupid. When this guy backs over some kid in a pushchair because he cant see out his rear window will you still be taking the **** ?
Grow up for ***** sake .

Sorry Paddy you have taken the post to serious pal.

I was mearly highlighting the fact that he isn't the only one to have done a mod which other people disagree on ,As in the opinion of they/it is unsafe.

I was only having a joke fella, take it how it was meant.

yeah everyone has an opinion on all mods, good or bad, safe or not, legal or not etc
its a easy mod that cleans the back end up 'in my opinion'

i 'personally' dont think it makes you drive unsafer, as aslong as your observent and check your mirrors youll be fine, on the other hand theres lots of new cars which dont come with them standard. BMW for example

I think most cars look better with rear wipers off imo. I will be at some point, I don't use mine atall personally as my daily work vehicle is a transit so I tend to use side mirrors only. Think will be opting for a proper plug thing like above rather than a rubber bung.

same with me, so used to using a van you forget to use your rear view mirror in your car,
ye the glass one is a really nice finish, i did mine yesturday, looks better than a rubber bung
i used a rubber bung on fiesta, dont get me wrong it looked alot nicer, but them glass one much cleaner looking.

Bit of an extreme reaction considering that not all cars come with rear wipers anyway, mine didn't :w00t:

I agree I can't see the point to removing it, personally I'd rather have the functionality, if I thought it would fit I'd offer to buy the old one off him

Am I the only one to see that Rear Wiper = Scratches?

And electric "**** up your back window" arm, is not a good thing to have on your car! :p

I never use the rear wiper. If the window gets dirty, it stop at a petrol station and hose off the car.
