On the whole, they have been a bit of a let down to be fair.... I may take this up with Vauxhall on monday to see what they say.

A good myth bust been done here though - VXR injectors ARE NOT 470 cc.

Just sold my injectors on ebay for £80 !! only on for 3 hours
 
the 'plumb centre' accessory Welly did have found a new home... the bin!!! luckily there was one lying about on an S3 that just happened to be in the workshop at the time and used that....

Hmmmm, yeah, not the most accurate of boost controllers. However, I only bought it for an experiment to be honest, and it did the necessary. It is indeed now in the circular file.... :bye:
 
I have 630's for my GT30... will be checking the duty on these now I have done the recent changes as i think I may have to swap them for the larger ones on Bill's shelf...

you can go 4bar easily on your pump setup.. more pressure better atomisation if the pumps up to it which it is.. DA-031
 
OK, so my car is now fixed again....

Second flash of the map is due to go on Tomorrow night, which I am most looking forward to :).

Here is a dyno print of the hybrid vs the K04 (blatantly stolen off of Bill's SCN post :thumbsup:) as was on the last run on Saturday.

what boost are you running steve? 249lbft as a peak sounds fairly low, but if it's a flat even spread across the whole rev range then it'll be far more useable than a 280lbft spike that dies off straight away

largeport head? larger ic pipework?
it spools slightly faster than yours steve... but does'nt hold it as long, hence yours making more power top end...

too early to call, its only got version 1 map on it which is no where near right yet.

Not such a good mapping session tonight to be fair.

The damn VXR injectors just aren't up to it. End of.

The initial runs on the dyno show that the injectors were maxxed out. So as a fix, I put a 4 bar regulator on to try and eak enough fuelling out of them.

However, this has turned out to not be enough, as the duty cycle on the injectors is too high again now, suggesting that they simply aren't big enough for what is trying to be achieved.

I am a tad annoyed about it, as they clearly aren't the 470cc that they are listed as, but what can you do?

So, some bigger ones needed - probably going to go for some Bosch 440s, or Genesis 550s. Extra cost is a bummer - but hey ho.

Managed to eak the BHP up to 295 now, but fuelling towards the top end of the rev band is all to ****...

Anyone with some unwanted 550s let me know.....

295bhp/298lbft seen on Wellys so far as peak numbers seen...
BUT

VXR injectors do not cut it at all.. not good enough for hybrid k04 use..
even on 4bar (pump pressure checked under boost) they cannot deliver the fueling, and I really really dont like asking 4bar +_boost from these pumps.
550cc injectors being sought for this now.

peak airflow 264g/s last night.. before tiredness and lack of fueling stopped play. (11.30pm called it a day)

On version 5 of map now.

and as for being somewhat dissapointed.... my time for a stage 3 remap restarts once again once injectors are changed, so I aint overjoyed about this either (7 hours work and dyno time so far)... 11.30pm stopped play last night... long fcukign day. VXR injectors are a crok of sh1t

upside is we were getting on pretty well until we ran out of top end fueling.
295bhp & 298lbft peak numbers.. so far
300 is within reach (just)

onward and upward. these things are sent to challenge us.. lol

As a side note: the exhaust manifold is too small to flow this airflow... A single 14second power run and the manifold is yellow hot such is the flow restriction. whoever makes their hi-flow k04 manifold available and reliably will make a killing.. it will uncocrk some top end power potential fo sho

I know dude, and I do feel bad about the fact that all that time is down the toilet due to the injectors just not cutting the mustard. :sorry:

The injectors I bought that is.... lol.
 
Would it be silly to suggest that if claimed 470s arnt doing it then maybe 440s could be close to their limit also?

Yeah, thats already in discussion. 550s probably FTW just to be sure. Don't want to buy 440s and then find they're no good as well. Cos that would kinda suck.
